Hi

My puppy has panosteitis and I want to know where I can buy buffered asprin for dogs - have been trying to find suppliers on the net with no luck.

Or if anyone has any other suggestions I would appreciate it!!

Thanks

OK, but - I wouldn't be rushing to put a dog on aspirin without vet advice. ... If you are concerned about pain levels. get the vet to give you some dog-appropriate pain relief - or see if you can get a consult with a specialist?

My sugestion would be to ask in this forum about Panosteitis . Start a new thread. I remember threads about it in the past- and folks can share their tips and solutions :(

I had this with my large breed pup - intermittent limps on any given leg - it seemed very random and would last a few days per leg. During the course of a month we had trigger point therapy done to her and after each session it was gone - and then permanetly gone after the third session. This must be at least a year ago now, so she has grown up and has never had another instance of the limping.

I got nothing from the vet - it is a very minor limp and the vet said she would grow out of it.

I know it sounds tough, but i would not give anything for pain.......if you give painrelief, the pup may get more active. Rest is best and a bit of discomfort leads to more natural resting by the pup. It is quite common in newfies and that is what we usually do........

Some information you may like to consider/reaearch:

MSM - Nutritional Sulfur - there are many brands on the market but the one with the longest track record is the VitaFlex brand that has been around for 25 yrs. MSM Corrects malabsorption of other nutrients such as minerals whose imbalance relate to problems such as osteochondrosis (HOD, OCD, Pano). It also helps with the pain and inflammation relief associated with developmental orthopedic diseases

I personaly get my MSM here
