If you are concerned about pain levels. get the vet to give you some dog-appropriate pain relief - or see if you can get a consult with a specialist? My sugestion would be to ask in this forum about Panosteitis . Start a new thread. poppop Posted May 31, 2010 Share Posted May 31, 2010 I had this with my large breed pup - intermittent limps on any given leg - it seemed very random and would last a few days per leg. During the course of a month we had trigger point therapy done to her and after each session it was gone - and then permanetly gone after the third session. This must be at least a year ago now, so she has grown up and has never had another instance of the limping. Rest is best and a bit of discomfort leads to more natural resting by the pup. It is quite common in newfies and that is what we usually do........
