Dogsfevr Posted October 25, 2010 Share Posted October 25, 2010 (edited) I was asked if i could post this so if anyone is interested please contact the details given ; Most of you will have heard of the intestinal parasite Giardia – but did you know it is now the most common gut parasite of dogs and one we know very little about. Yes, Giardia can cause diarrhoea but rarely – more likely are its subtle effects on performance and growth particularly in puppies since they are most commonly infected. Dogs respond differently to Giardia infection and researchers at Murdoch Vet School are trying to find out why. All they need are ‘poo’ samples!
