Lowell Ackerman's "Skin and haircoat problems in Dogs" also has info on nutrition.

Adited to add---Catherine O'Driscoll's "Shock to the System" is a good read too...not just about nutrition but is an holistic view on animal health

I read a few books a while ago. I liked:

Dr. Pitcairn's Complete Guide to Natural Health for Dogs & Cats

Richard H. Pitcairn D.V.M. & Susan Hubble Pitcairn

And I remember "Work Wonders: Feed Your Dog Raw Meaty Bones" by Tom Lonsdale was a lot more readable than his other book "Raw meaty bones promote health" (which I found fantastically boring) but I'm not if you've already tried these. Work wonders is available as a free pdf if you google it.

thanks for the suggestions. I have the Pitcairn book on order already, but will be looking into the others as funds allow.

Off to google now

(btw - are these available on the kindles? Just thinking it would be a good way to keep all the canine reference books!!)
