One of my puppy buyers took his now 14 week old puppy to the vet for a lump in the area between her 2 back nipples and the vet said that it is puppy strangles. I have always thought that it was called strangles because that is what it does if not treated *strangles the puppy* Never ever seen it anywhere else. KJ Posted March 26, 2011 Share Posted March 26, 2011 (edited) I have had 2 Lab pups with puppy strangles and both of them has swollen lymph nodes everywhere.....neck, shoulders, belly and back legs.
