Liver Treat Recipe

I was at a show a few months back and met a lovely exhibitor who is also on DOL. She gave me a recipe but in the mayhem i lost it. I cant remember her name, she showed me some training with the treats.

The recipe included liver, flour and eggs and was baked and Oberon loved it so if you're the person i'm talking about could you give me the recipe again please.

Anyone else have some good tasty training treat recipes your dog goes nuts for?

Hi I make liver cake all the time and all the dogs love it

It is basically a liver, ox, lamb or chicken pureed in blender until it is virtually liquidized, add an egg and then enough flour to make it into a batter. Then put it into a greased tray and cook for about 30 mins depending on size of liver used. I find its easier to cut and dogs seem to like it when its still a bit pink in the middle. Whrn cooked cut it up into pieces & freeze until you need them. Good luck, the worst part is the cleaning up

500 grams of beef liver

2 eggs shells included

1 cup of flour either S/R or plain.

1 desertspoon of oil

puree liver and then add eggs and oil, then the flour.

Put into a swiss roll tin or similar and cook for about 30 min at 180.

yes it freezes well and you can use any kind of liver. Just cut it up into smaller blocks to defrost as you need it

I reply to the last with my heart in my mouth, I don't want to start another Hydatids topic.

We always advocate the use of beef instead of sheep because of the Hydatids problems.

Also in some states it is illegal to feed dogs offal.

Yes chicken liver would work well.
