Anybody Flying From Sydney Or Canberra To Perth Shortly?

Anybody flying from Sydney or Canberra to Perth shortly that could put a dog on their ticket please? I'm trying to rehome a dog and the cost is terrible as freight.

Have you tried Jetpets? I got a really good quote from them recently, far far better than any of the quotes from Virgin freight or AAE.

Yes, I have tried both companies $700 from ACT and nearly $600 out of Sydney. It's a rehome and I would like to try and get him there at a reasonable price for them.

Really? Is it a big dog? We flew two pups from Canberra to Perth recently and it wasn't near that amount. But it was with Dogtainers.

The trick we found was to stipulate your flight. There is only one direct flight per day, each way between Canberra and Perth, otherwise you are looking at a change in Sydney or Melbourne which is extra travelling time as well as cost.

Have you tried Dogtainers in Canberra, they are very accommodating with rescues / rehomes? The number is 02 6254 9955.

Forgot to ask in my other response, what size dog are we talking about?

He's a fair lump.25kgs or so.I spoke to Dogtainers in Canberra and they were very nice but still the $770 mark on the direct flight.Didn't think to mention he is a rehome but because it's a private rehome they may not give a discount.I'm travelling to Perth myself for a show but the 'pet dog' places are already taken up by others travelling.
