50 Photo Projects

I read about this little book in a photo magazine last week and thought it looked interesting and useful:

I have it, bought it at a newsagency at the airport a few weeks ago coz I needed something to read on the plane. Herrrrmmmm wonder where it is!! It's pretty interesting - I was going to post about it when I got it but totally forgot.

What I liked about it most is that many of the projects can be done with fairly basic equipment, such as a D3100 and kit lens, rather than only being able to replicate results on high end equipment. I've grabbed quite a few of these photo mags at airports in the last few months, and many of them say "all you need is your [insert $3000 camera body] and the [insert $1000 lens], plus [insert more expensive equipment here]" - and it's just not realistic or easily to replicate for a novice or amateur photographer.

Now you've got me thinking where the bloody hell that magazine is :laugh:

That's what I liked about it too KA - no expensive equipment was required and it seems to go through step by step, in fairly plain language, how to achieve the desired results.
