THREE teenage boys have been praised as heroes for saving 13 dogs from a horrific boarding kennel fire that killed five other pets at Two Wells overnight.

The five dogs were killed when a fire broke out in a shed housing kennels at the back of Asryn Kennels' boarding facility on Coats Rd, just before 11.30pm

A further 13 dogs were saved.

"The poor (owners), they are building their house and they come out to see their dogs and play with them (and the dogs) were killed," she (Kathy Crossman) said.

"The other three were the dear little SA dog rescue dogs, so they never got their second chance."

This would be my worst nightmare - put dog in kennel so she will be safe while I'm away...
