toofarnorth Posted December 6, 2015 Share Posted December 6, 2015 Two weeks ago I gave both my dogs a Nexguard primarily for tick prevention. I hadn't used this brand before and since then both my dogs are itching and scratching and its starting to really upset my cocker spaniel. Has anyone had any problems with this? Cant stand seeing them scratch and I have been putting frozen face-washers on the areas to help settle them down. If it doesn't seem to settle soon I'll head to the vet. lisacourt Posted February 18, 2016 Share Posted February 18, 2016 This happened to my dog the first time he was put on nexguard. Apparently it's a side effect some dogs get. We had to wait until it went out of his system and then changed to advantix and treated his itchy bits with a paw balm I got off etsy, I think it was called pawfect paws it worked amazing! Boronia Posted February 18, 2016 Share Posted February 18, 2016 My friend has been using it on her 18 month old Scottish terrier for a few months and it dawned on her the other day that he always scratches the day after.
