Interesting point of view with some lovely photos

The crux...

So what *do* they do?

Basically three things:
  1. They take their dog everywhere, which means the dog gets exercise, socialization, and mental stimulation, as well as constant owner contact.
  2. They don’t tolerate unwanted behavior that makes life on the street more difficult than it already is.
  3. They teach the dog to be calm and lie down or sit for hours at time — essential to panhandling and sleeping rough with a hangover.

Beautiful pictures and while I wish noons was homeless, I actually think those dogs have much better lives that a huge percentage of other dogs. The are constantly with their owners which is what most dogs want more than anything. They are well exercised, behaved and from experience ( my sister is an outreach worker) the dogs are fed and cared for way before the owners think of themselves.

Thank you for posting this, even though my heart breaks for anyone having to live on the streets.
