Planning On Starting Training This Sunday

Recommended Posts

I'm planning on taking the mutt to KCC park on sunday to train with westernport obedience-was womdering if any other dolers (apart from shoemonster) go there and what I should expect? My girl is 5 and has done basic obedience with ADT a few years ago-hopefully she'll pick it up ok. I also have my staffy puppy to train-does anyone know when she can start? She's 13 1/2 weeks old and had her second shots 2 weeks ago

Your young girl can start now. there site says 12 weeks with vacc. http://www.geocities.com/wpodc/

hey i made that site have i done good so far its a work in progress

Great i have some questions then :o

Fully vaccinated means 2 or 3 vaccinations?

we have 2 vaccinations at 10 weeks, and get third at 14 weeks.

But we have been told we should be fine to go out at 12 weeks.

There is nothing under newsletter or events

depends on your course of vaccination fully vaccinated is wehn they are done until next year for example connor has prtech c3 which they get at 12 weeks then they are done for 12 months whereas other vets use the ones where they have a the little booster at 14 to 16 weeks which means they arent fully vacinated until they have finished the course

Nice to see theres a few of you that go there-hopefully we'll meet at some stage. of course i'll have no idea who i'm looking for-but we'll work that out over time i'm guessing.

Molly is 13 1/2 weeks old and has had her second C5 vaccinations. She has her 3rd lot at 16 weeks. so I guess she'll have to wait until then.

oh-thanks for posting that link H20-i haven't been able to find it. Site looks good WMR!

Hopefully the person who sent me this won't mind me postiung it in here. :o

If you go into kcc and turn right into the car park straight away and follow it to the end, the club rooms are down the back and by the time you get there the GSD club will have set up their stuff and WP is just next to it, there is a blue sign with the name on it out the front

i have a blue merls sheltie only one there

Pity I didn't see this before I went down! Not that I know what blue merle looks like-my dog knowledge is fairly limited-but i'm learning.

Gemma was a little overwhelmed and did a fair amount of growling-she either likes a dog or person or she doesn't-and she makes it obvious with a few low growls. she doesn't attack or bite-just growls. i think this will get better with more socialisation-she hasn't had alot to do with other dogs for a few years.

anyway, we did our first class, i signed on the dotted line and handed over some cash and we'll be back next week.

I went!! but i wouldn't have known one either :(

We (husband and daughter miss 5 ) got there around 9.30am, had a talk to the instructors, then went for a walk around the show area.

I didn't see any Great Danes

Then we came back and checkout obediance again.

We left around 10.30am
