So Group points are now counted in the Breed competition? Seems a step backwards to me but I couldn't be bothered entering all results last year as I don't show that often (only did a couple of results on the request of my breeder) and I doubt with the change of rules I will bother this year even though we will probably show more LOL.

Hopefully they can get the area soon. Once they know I will spread the word but until then what is usually referred to as "Perth" is a pretty big area which would take more than 2 hours to drive though.

I look forward to meeting her in a few weeks, WX :D

My show lines kelpie went to an intro herding day where there was also a working lines kelpie... my boy was MUCH more interested in the sheep ;) But alas I don't have time to train him Saying that, he has shown no inclination to round up or chase the horses which I am very happy about

Should have proofed... rising = riding ROFL. He actually did manage to get some shots with both me and the horse in the frame eventually :p

What Is The Most Popular Colour In Your Breed?
mirawee replied to Esky the husky's topic in General Dog Discussion
Finnish Lapphunds - most people who request a certain colour ask for brown and tan. However the biggest thing people want is the distinctive face markings regardless of colour. Black and tan is the most common given it is dominant. My Mum would like a lilac and tan :D Kelpies - show ring seems to prefer chocolate although this is changing and there are dogs of most acceptable colours who have done well. Working lines it is red and tan although it annoys me when people say "red cloud" as if that colour is a different breed :p -
No tree in my house coz I can't be bothered putting it up or taking it down again Have a good trip home RV
-
Poo-Fong, Banjo said if you like black Kelpies you should come and get some Kelpie kisses at a show one day soon :D
-
Oh and my dad took a photo of me rising the other week and it was quite similar in concept to your 3yo's work :D
-
I was thinking the word "half" was a typo until I scrolled down His body look nice Looks like he has already filled out a fair bit
-
They don't have to be from the show... you just haven't put up any stacked shots of Chance recently Which shows are you at this weekend - I should just come and meet him in person LOL
-
What lowlifes breaking into cars You go to shows :D I will be asking a junior handler if she would be able to take Arlo in the ring at one of the shows this weekend to give him more experience with different people Might also see if she can handle a naughty puppy :D

Forgot to say - big congratulations on your weekend show results Showdog

How old was he when he won? Go back through the list to find date then look up shows <G> We will have a Lappy baby in the Junior POY classes - she will only be a few days past 6 months!
-
Yay! Well done Emery Are you going to any of the shows this coming weekend? MG, Gibbs is getting big :D Ptolomy, are you going to do the conformation at the Classic since one of the judges' critiques mentions Tollers? I am assuming she will end up judging them on one night since she seems to be a Group 3 specialist LOL
-
It started off great - and yay for an article about dog showing. But then I was a bit stunned. I know it is hard work to show dogs but not much more than having a pet dog unless you have a very heavy maintainance show coat. I have show horses as well and I can safely say they are much more of a full time job LOL I can get 5 dogs ready in less time than one horse :D Although I don't plan be getting a show poodle any time soon I am not getting the slide show
-
Hmm, I wouldn't have considered it positive! Sounds like a gripe from someone who didn't win (which is certainly not saying that is what the person is having... but how it is being portrayed). Lots of comments in there that would turn people off giving showing a go. I don't get why you have to be committed to dog showing 24/7

Woohoo well done TSD! What a way to finish the year
-
Puppies are just too cute I want them all! "My" current rising stars are owned by other people but I get the joy of showing them Both have already had 2 shows with Miss Anikka taking Baby IG at both shows Taavi (Theldaroy Call Me Mister) who now 5 months - Anikka (Kalevi Cheri Blossom) who is now 4 months - And I am keeping everything crossed that I get to add another photos in here early next year!

Good luck everyone competing at Bunbury Hopefully this weekend won't end up being as hot as they are predicting!
