Be interesting to see if they wait for the GSDs for group judging on the sunday

Bianca, Cooper could be loose from inactivity. You wont know until you let him have more exercise time.
I dont think anyone is saying pts NOW, just that giving him the best quality you can, and when and IF he is in pain and you cant help, then do so :)
Very hard decision to have to make.
My guys talk too, so it could be pain or it could be the GSD coming out.
Also, it didnt look like there was much arthritic change, just that his joints were not properly aligned...and i could be wrong too.
Daire does have arthritic change and did so when the xrays were taken at 12mo, but he is on a good diet and supplements, is kept fit and lean and he is happy.
Good luck

What hip scores did his parents have? Of course you can be unlucky and get bad hips from parents with good hips but to get them that bad is unusual. The elbow hygromas are also a very odd thing for a puppy to have and are usually caused by a very heavy dog lying on hard surfaces. I think I would be getting further x-rays of his other joints done before committing to the hip surgery in case he has other joint problems all over.
I agree.
Maybe see monash vets or Michael Bell. They both do xrays of hip and elbows for scoring regularly.
They are not bad scores. Not the greatest but under gsdca schemes passes so therefore breedable.
Please seek other opinions before committing to the surgery.
If he is not in pain and besides sometimes bunny hopping not lame why operate? He may not need it. He may be able to be managedmore conservatively.
Good luck and hugs to you all

On Friday 10th August Warrior got the last points needed for his Australian Champion title (pending). My boy did it in style, being one of only 3 run off for group and being Junior in Group! Many thanks to the judge Mr M. Curk (NSW) who recognised Warriors wonderful qualities.
Minbeemedia took some fantastic pics of Warrior and his Mum Fern over the weekend. I look forward to sharing some here on the show forum once received. :D
WOOHOO!!!!!!!!! Congrats!

Well my little girl Eva, came away with 2 challenges this weekend at Wagga. This was despite her crocaroo impersonation on friday - crocodile cross kangaroo - but at least she had fun and amused all the on lookers My boy Bohdi who was my rising star last year, but injured himself and had his first shows back this weekend at Wagga, also got 2 challenges, a RUBOB and a BOB.
I am happy with how he went for his first shows back after 8mo out from injury.
