  1. With Labs, there has been generations and generations of BYB, to the point where I've heard people refer to Labs as "Australian Lab" and "English Lab" "English Labs" being Pure Bred Labs, "Australian Labs" are the BYB lines, most people are shocked to see a Pure Lab and how short and stocky they are compared to the much taller leaner versions on the BYB's Looking at her pic in your sig, you say she has a Lab head, to me, it's an 'Aussie Lab' head not a Pure Lab Missy may have taken on the leaner version of the Labs and the height of the Kelpie. We have a dog come into the kennels, she was a rescue, she was taken as a 'pure' Black Lab and the average Joe Blow would believe it too, as an 'Aussie Lab' (a bit taller and a bit leaner) but she doesn't have a Lab 'voice' (yeah I know that sounds silly, but her bark was the first thing I noticed that was different) and when she is in the sunlight, and only in the direct sunlight you can see it, it is faint, but she has brindle points.
  2. The Ester-C I get is Hooman kind A bottle of 250 tablets only cost me between $25 online and $35 via health food store, 625mg per tablet I think that is pretty reasonable
  3. Ah Ngau, Google Ester C Calcium Ascorbate in dogs I did and came across this thread I've just started my guys on it and was doing a bit of research, it is amazing the results that come up for it
  4. After reading the post by the far north, I for one would not like to see the breed brought over here. As said a gazillion times before, 'we have way too many BSL problems here already', why add fuel to the fire It's all good and well to say only responsible people would own these dogs, but nothing is fool proof, just for an example, what if one of these dogs were stolen from a responsible owner, what then??
  5. And in one point of time the Shar Pei was considered exactly the same way, I remember as a kid the Pei was the 'Rarest Breed' in the world BYB's changed that.
  6. Taken from Wiki And also this little gem Fantastic!! Can't wait for that breed to reach the shores and the bogans line up for them Yeah, yeah, I'm ready ETA: when I say bogans I mean boofheads that like an attack dog on the end of a lead, not anyone here that has mentioned they like them because of it's looks ;)
  7. I received an email this evening informing me that the most gorgeous Boxer boy that I had a temp home here before he was lovingly adopted by his new family, was PTS on Wednesday night. He was truely, the most sweetest boy you could ever hope to meet My Pablo, as did my husband, both pined for him when he left for his new home, he really was so special. Goodbye beautiful one, run free with no pain

  11. Good point, it is all well and good to say they are owned by the same company, but they are made with different ingrediants If you do a search of your kitchen cupboard, you will find that most grocery items are owned by Nestle`, but not all of the products are the same, it just means that one company is getting bigger and buying up all the other companies.

  17. Toby is very brave!! last year we were up at the same camping spot, all sitting around the fire one night (when I say all, there were 7 adults 7 teenagers and 4 smaller kids) and this big huge massive beetle thing flew on to one of the 16 yr old boys foot, he flung it off and took off and the whole site was cleared within 3.2 sec ;) all bar Toby!! He said "What....?" walked over picked it up and threw it back in the bushes This thing was soooooo big, imagine the size of the cicada, double it! and it was all beetle!! Big brown ugly thing with big knobly antanae, no word of a lie it would have stood 2 inches high
