  1. I've been reading this thread (not all of it) because I stumbles upon DOL forums beware fb page. I've had a bit of a run in with Mel Norman myself there. I am curious to know, is Pound Rounds a registered charity? Sorry I don't know how it works with rescues.

BTW, the woman is totally delusional. She called me an industry and basically blamed me and every other breeder for creating the problem of dogs being in the pound.

  3. I have 2 aluminum trolleys. 1 Vebo and the other is made in Tassie, I can't remember the brand and I'm not about to unpack the car to find out.

I've had the Tassie trolley for almost 10 years and it's still in excellent condition. I think it cost around $600 at the time.

I purchased the Vebo trolley because I wanted a taller trolley. There are a few things I don't like about it.

*they don't use pyramind matting. The matting they use I think would be uncomfortable for the dog. It wasn't glued very well and the dogs have been able to lift and rip it off.

*the ply wood they use is very heavy which inevitably makes the trolley heavier. The Tassie trolley has marine ply and is much lighter.

    * the end caps arn't glued well and fall off.

    * the aluminium used is thinner.

    * the door latches aren't perfectly aligned and takes a bit of jiggling to close.

You get what you pay for and I do think the Vebo trolleys are good for the price.

One thing I do have to say about ALL trolleys. The swivel wheels should not be at the push handle end. I find if I push it the other way around I have much better control.

  4. Can I ask a question in this little interlude????

How do they come up with the shortlist to go in to each group?

the judge chooses his top 8 (from all the BOB )and then whittles it down to his top 4

As in, all BOB show up today and they choose the top 8? Or do they sort go back through their records or whatnot and then just the top 8 go in today?

But thankyou at least I now know a bit more about why not every breed is in the group judging!!

all BOB's in today, they they choose the top 8 then the top 4. It's a bit different cause of the best Puppy but that's for another time. mainly only at the Royals.

ETA if the BOB was Best Puppy and doesn't win they are then a beaten dog and can't go into the group lineup.

no, if they were a BOB winner, they would still appear in group line up but most unlikely to win
