  1. I, for one, have learned a lot from the loss of these beautiful souls - I am not taking anything for granted, I will take more time to spend with my loved ones, I will live my life with no regrets and stop to smell the 'roses'.... thank you beautiful angels for teaching me this. It is so terrible that it takes a tragedy for people to be 'awakened' - may we all learn something from this so that their lives have not been lost in vain. It is incredible to see a bunch of people who barely know each other, but for a few posts on a forum, all join together in a time of great need. I am honoured to be a part of such a great community. Thank you to all of you.

It was lovely to see the photos of the little ones looking safe and well, a glimmer of hope and light in all of this. I am sending Jed and her family and close friends so much love, my heart is breaking for all of you and what you have gone through and are still to go through but you WILL get through this.

  2. This might sound a bit airy fairy but could we all send healing light and love to both Magnus and Jed (imagine a golden light enveloping each of them filled with love and hope). I believe Magnus will be found - he is very scared and remember he has also lost his family so will be grieving himself.

Personally I don't think we should be making plans for memorials etc. I know that people just want to do something nice for Jed but it is such a personal thing. I understand that those that have passed will need to be buried carefully and thoughtfully and I am sure that this has been/will be done in consultation with Jed's family. Compiling photos from the forum is lovely as most (all?) mementos would have been lost but actual physical memorials or grave sites should really be left to Jed and those who are closest to her. Just my opinion and sorry if I have offended anyone.

  3. I had a dream last night that Magnus was found - he had gone back home and was found curled up under some timber - like a woodpile. I so hoped I would come here and it would be true :mad

Like others have asked, is there someone checking the house/property regularly? He would go home right? He's probably hiding somewhere watching for someone he knows. EDIT - just read Kyla is there looking.

    Keep fighting Jed.

I hope that Jed's family and close friends are ok :)

  4. Personally I wouldnt be happy about a large dog rushing/bounding up to my dog - how am I to know that your dog is friendly? If you read on here, there are many stories of people/dogs being rushed at by another dog and that owner saying "he won't do anything, he's harmless" while the dog attacks.

Archie might be a friendly dog but I don't think you should allow him to run up to all of the dogs - let them be introduced another way and then they can play if all goes well :) . I don't take my dogs to offlead parks so not really sure of the 'rules'. :p

  5. Hi all :rainbowbridge:

West Australian Assistance Dogs (WAAD) will be conducting a street appeal in the City of Perth to raise much needed funds for training and raising these amazing dogs. If you are in the city at all on this day please look out for the WAAD dogs and handlers and volunteers and consider making a donation or purchasing some merchandise :rainbowbridge: We have two new puppies as well as the older dogs/puppies and you will get to see all of them in action doing what they do best!

The website is www.waadinc.org.au or for more information please email Gwen at [email protected]

Thanks and hope to see you there!

  6. I noticed a few spelling mistakes and I think the first sentence needs rewording (for example "similarities.... are quite different" doesn't really make sense) and the sentence as a whole should be made shorter  Run it through a spelling and grammar check and remember that it is 'may have' not 'may of' and the different meanings of their, there and they're

I wouldn't put that terriers are considered dog aggressive.

Also try not to refer to Terriers and Gundogs as 'breeds' in themselves - they are each a 'group' of similar breeds  You could put the different breeds that are listed in each group and then discuss the 'average size and weight' if you wanted to keep what you have written there?

Hope that doesn't come across as rude

  7. I lke the first lot of photos but the second lot look waaay too processed for me :(

My faves are the close up elephant trunks and the group elephant shot

  8. Obviously it wasn't because they thought the dog was 'gay' (however you get a gay dog :D ;)) - they would have thought it was a 'normal' dog and as such not allowed inside a restaurant. Do Guide dogs have a special badge/pass thing that shows they are a Guide Dog - I know that the Assistance Dogs have to? It says they showed the restaurant with a fact card - not the same thing. I agree Souff, speaking clearly would have most likely helped!

This is not in any way defending restaurants or other establishments that discriminate against people with disabilites. I don't think this is the case here.
