I found this a very touching article so wanted to share it:
The oldest man in Australia has never been good at saying no. Even at 109-years-old, Alfred Date agrees to help anyone and everyone in need. His desire to help is how he ended up knitting tiny jumpers for adorable little penguins............. -
I'm sorry to hear this Sheridan, RIP Miss Mini

How gorgeous. I had a male Labrador who did that. I came home in the middle of winter to find him in his kennel with two 5-6 week old Jack Russell pups that had been dumped in the back lane. They were snuggled up against him on a bitter cold day. It brings tears remembering how sweet and gentle he was. The pups went to the pound and found homes after that.

Awww welcome little Willow, she's beautiful. :)

Awww, he's missing his mum and siblings I suppose. It's been many years since I had a new puppy but from memory the howling didn't last for many nights, maybe only one or two. Enjoy your new little boy and I look forward to seeing pics and hearing of his progress. My 11 year old lab is sleeping soundly next to me on the bed as I write. :)

Was LDH also involved in a case last year where and old man in an agitated state surrendered his dog and when his daughters went to claim it back they found out it had already been pts? I think the man had alzhiemers and the daughters had rung while the dog was still alive only to be told it wasn't there, but when they kept looking for the dog they found out it was but had been pts after their initial phone call.
I looked but couldn't find the original story.
I remember that Little Gifts, it was a very sad story.
I think it was discussed in this thread. http://www.dolforums.com.au/topic/260665-ldh-at-it-again/page__p__6606446__hl__%2Blost+%2Bdogs+%2Bhome__fromsearch__1#entry6606446

I just noticed this thread RuralPug and what came to mind was to suggest maybe you could use one of those silver windscreen shade cover things to cover instead of a space blanket? It might be cheaper and they are a bit padded as well. *2 cents suggestion :) *
Love your cosy kitties pic!
