  1. LOL it is actually a glass of coloured water as we don't have any interesting drinks in our house

  4. :) Thanks tlc. I'm just using Flickr. After some fiddling I've started using one of the "effects" and then toning it down a bit. I'm hoping to get lightroom next year and learn about presets and that sort of thing.

  6. I like the idea of these two. It kinda ties in with the 100 day challenge but people who can't take a photo every day can use this thread instead?
  7. LOL It has been raining here all day too. It stopped just long enough for swimming lessons. I had a great photo idea and then the rain stopped. With the crazy weather up here I'm sure I'll get another chance.
  8. Yeah, I am. I think they are probably a bit warmer on others screens than I intend but I like they way they look on my laptop.
  9. I guess I mean "warm" or over processed? Over exposed was the wrong term.
  10. 015 by Leah 75, on Flickr 3/100 Is it wrong that I love over exposed photos?
  11. Thanks :) I'm very lucky that Boy#1 likes to play a long, that picture makes me smile.

  13. What about portrait shots? It moves the focus away from the dogs for the month, but lots of room to experiment?
  14. Yup. All my photos in this thread will be 50s. The I will print the MIL a couple of booklets from the link you posted. :)
  15. I actually paid for 3 months, just now. It is convenient and PB seems to ruin my photos. But that could just be because I'm a numpty. :0
  16. Righto. My challenge for Summer is to learn to use the 50mm I love my zoom lens but I am determined to get the best out of my 50. Here goes .... 057 by Leah 75, on Flickr
  17. That is a great idea. I was actually thinking along these lines when I watched the kids decorate the tree this morning. But 2 were in their PJ and 2 in their underwear, so not really photogenic. I may need to start with a posed tree image. :)
  18. That is a wonderful photo, well done.
  19.  Bahahahaha! That has to be the funniest thing I have seen all week. He is fantastic :)
  20. Maybe photos featuring a "something"? Like Tropfest this year has to have a balloon in the film ....
  21. I had a look at it but it was a little fiddly for what I wanted. All the setting have to be changed on the viewing screen. I went with the 60D in the end because I could change the ISO, shutter speed and aperture with one finger while looking though the view finder. However if you are planning on taking most of your photos on auto settings it would be fine.
