Well actually, given the way of numerous laws that affect different States in different ways, it would be easier if we lived closer to the border of New Zealand. Shall we fly, or take a cruise ? OT think we should fly - by the time we take a slow cruise - they might catch up with the stupid VIC laws. ;)

..... so, you wanna car-pool when we leave? LOL OT : Look at little cutie black boy in your avatar. Bet he's grown somewhat since I saw your litter . would be easier if we lived closer to the border hey Erny OT - yep I bet he has, he lives in Cranbourne now, I decided to let him go. sending you a pm

Just another reason to leave this friggen nanny state - too many stupid laws made by stupid people. I too am interested in where this thread is going..... The level of training is amazing and have no idea why anyone would have tried to have it stopped - hopefully people in other states are not so misled.

I use a similar product, it is a flouro pink colour spray, wish I could recall it's name it is excellent for wounds and keeps bugs away too. Cetrigen - from Verbac. Wish they made it in less obvious colors. I use metho on hot spots - clears it up very quickly.

Clipper Blade Sharpening By Hand.
Andisa replied to Christina's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
My father has offered to do mine as he has done plenty of shearing blades - I spoke with my clipper man and he told me they would be stuffed as explained above the difference in the blades. I suppose I could give him a couple of old blades to see how he goes but I don't want to risk them. I have about 45 sets of blades - they cost too much to stuff up. Would rather pay to have them done properly. If you only have the 1 set of blades I would not risk damaging them or it will be more costly to replace than send off to be sharpened. -
How Many People Here Use Berwick Odc's Facilities?
Andisa replied to Paulp's topic in General Dog Discussion
I am not a member there but do take the dogs down to the off lead area sometimes. Shame the dear old biddy didn't stop and think before she moved in that the footy grounds and dog training facilities might actually get used which is why they are there in the first place. Good luck - hope you can get the go ahead with your shed. -
Oh Pandii - good luck. Suck him up with the vacuum... If you lived closer I would say bring him over here and we could both get stuck in to him together. Hydrobath and powerful drier makes it much easier. I find a rubber kong zoom groom when in the bath helps heaps - really pulls the dead coat out - wash / dry well and go for it with a furminator. When really blowing coat just keep grooming... I feel your pain, Piper is blowing coat now and so is Lizzy - luckily for me Pink isn't. I don't wash my dogs all that much but while they are blowing coat they are in the bath every week until I get on top of them.

Thanks so much for this. Bluey will be 9 weeks old when he leaves so is still under 12 weeks old. He was done anyway so he will be fine. Will make sure I have this info put aside for next time.

This is only my 3rd litter and all pups are microchipped when they are vaccinated. I prefer to do them at least I know they are done.

Just a quick question on worming requirements for sending puppies from Vic to Tassie. I have a pug pup going over to Tassie soon and the new owners said I need the pup to be wormed (incuding Hydatid tapeworm) 14 days prior to sending. Also need a stat dec or vet letter as proof of the pup being wormed with an all wormer (and the packaging), he is already done so would not want him done again so soon. They also want the packaging - I buy in bulk so will need to get a small pack to send with him. I was told by someone else that it is within 10 days and they have not had a vet letter - their office is now closed so will have to call them tomorrow. So what do DOLers do when sending pups to Tassie?
-
Beautiful babies - they grow up too fast.
-
Why the caps - no need to shout? Can I ask what your hiding by refusing to reply to the breeders requests / photo for information on how the pup is going? So you have this dog on main registration and you refuse to reply to emails - don't you think that is RUDE. Not only does this say what sort of owner you are but it also says what type of breeder that will most likely be. I feel very sad for the breeder.

I am running on the black boy and the orange girl. BUT think the black boy will be the stayer - love this boy. Looks like my little man is getting his own fan club. Thanks for the lovely comments about my babies.
-
lol - your a bigger pug fan than you think you are, you can't tell me you didn't get the warm fuzzies for the puggies while you were making my all pug cushions. How could you not love them.. Knew you would like red - knowing your soft spot for the strugglers - for a little girl she is a fighter. If she has half the fight in her that my last little battler had she will be fine.. Red has been my fav since birth - how typical is that..

Lizzy's babies at 23 days old.

Gee - sorry I asked now, didn't expect this. I too have learnt a lot on this forum, valuable information that has saved the life of some of my puppies and for that I will always be greatful. Hope this little sweetie can put a smile on faces. :D Mjosa - love your puppies - they are beautiful. Might sneak in when your not watching and swap my black boy for one of yours. ;)
-
Well that just sucks. Stuff them - Your puppies are beautiful - be proud of them and put your pics back up.. please. I have been looking at pug puppies for too long and every time I look at normal face puppies they all look weird. I need to see some normal puppies with regular shaped faces.

WHAT.... Why or how do pics of puppies offend anyone....

So What Clippers Do Proffessional Groomers Use?
Andisa replied to Missymoo's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Missymoo, I think your close to me so if you want to call in I am happy to show you how I am set up and go over what you need if your interested. -
I am sorry that i haven't been able to let everyone know. Have had trouble with my compuer and nt then lost my password to sign in but now all good... My girl gave birth to 6 puppies on 15 November 2009, 3 hairless boys, 2 powderpuff boys and 1 powderpuff girl. Was hoping on a hairless girl but it didn't happen. Babies are now 9 days old and are doing well... Below is picture of them at new born... They look very cute. Only 1 looks hairless to me??? Thanks, there are 3 hairless, 1 very hairless and 2 hairy hairless which means they have body hair and will have to be shaved. Cass Which are the hairy hairless??? BB - I will have a guess as I have not seen baby CC's before. From L - R hairy Hairless - Powder Puff - Powder Puff - Powder Puff - hairy Hairless and the one on the R is the very Hairless.

Yes I will always wash my dogs before going to the vet for surgery - even if it is a dental. As for the groomers - being a groomer I wish some people used common sense and treated their flea ridden dogs BEFORE taking them to be groomed or vets for that matter. How hard is it to treat the dog for fleas? What happened to common sense and courtesy? *any idea how crappy it is grooming dogs with fleas crawling all over you* **when I have dogs that are flea ridden I rebook the rest of the day to clean up the shed - when owners pick up dogs that were flea ridden I tell them why it is so important to treat the dog first...some times it is very hard to be nice to some people.....but I do enjoy reminding them about treating the whole house / yard as the dog will get fleas as soon as it goes back home - AND treat the family human and animals for worms too as fleas and worms generally go together. Then I remind them had they simply treated the dog for fleas / worms it would prevent all the other issues..

will be interesting to see how much really is extra fluids or extra puppies. She really looks as though she has had enough - poor love.
