  11. i Know its a poodle cross, the pound people put her as maltese cross. when i rang them i told them it was a poodle cross. umm where is coburg? the collar isnt nylon i dont think.. if sher doenst find a home, OH's mum has told them that she will take her back and look after her until we can find her a home ourselvs. poor little girl is so skinny though, we could feel retty much every bone. and her nails were soooo long!
  12. we have noticed that we have had a strange dog hanging around our property lately, but didnt know where it was or anything, we would just see it every now and then and found signs of a strange dog. On sunday afternoon as we came home this dog was sitting in out drive way, but as it saw us it took off into our hay shed. we could not coax poor little thing out at all so we ended up having to get the tractor and move all the hay out to catch her. She was quite aggressive as we tried to grab her but once we had hold of her she was fine. poor little mite has been living in our hay shed for quite a while by the looks of her :D she was sooooo skinny, he fur was matted and full of hay and burs. we fed her and put her into one of our spare dog pens. we cleaned her up a bit and asked the people at the shop in the town if they knew where she came from but no one knew. she was wearing a pink collar but no tags and wasnt microchipped either we called the ranged the next day and they came and picked her up. shes really sweet dog, OH's mum immediatly fell in love with her once we had caught her. this is the site where she is now http://www.wellington.vic.gov.au/Register/...ts.asp?Reg_Id=3 shes the little poodle/maltese down the bottom. hopefully she finds a home!
  13. a friend of mine has young children, a 3 yr old, a 2 yr old and a 3 month old and i would love to photograph them, but im not too sure, so i was wondering if anyone could give me a few tips?
  14. a family from my work has a black and tan stafford, gorgeous little dog she is, best temp of any dog ive ever met. They bred her themselves, but they decided to keep her themselves so now one would try breeding "rare coloured" puppies from her.
  15. firstly, i started the thread to tell my OH why i wouldnt be showing hi,, becaus as i said i dont really have any intention whatsoever in showing dogs at all, not just this one but any dog. I have grown up with my mum showing GSD's so i know what goes on, the bitching, the little clicky groups, the people who will do anything just to win. If i ever decided to step insid of a show ring, it wiuld be purely for the fun of it, being around mates and their dogs, i wouldnt be showing for points nd titles. another thing, as i mentioned before, hes breeders didnt breed just for the sake of the colour! yes he is a blue stafford, but that doesnt mean that they purposly bred a litter of puppies just in case they may get a blue one. i honestly really dont care what half of you think of my dog, hes my dog not yours so keep your opinions to yourself. i wouldnt just go up to yolu and say oh, you have an ugly dog. its called manners people! and respect.
  16. I do it for the fun day out with the dogs, I always have but that's no excuse to put a second rate dog or bitch into the ring. The pup is also on the main register and I really have to ask WHY ? May I ask why? Are you basing your opinion solely on colour? Hope you dont mind my asking. There are several things that immediately jump out at me and that's before he even stands up, as I said in the previous post " regardless of colour" he was sold on main register because thats what the whole litter was reg under, not the whole litter was blue either by the way. The kennels registered all the puppies from the litter under main, its their choice how they reg their puppie, not that it makes any difference to me what he was registered for. oh and btw, whats so wrong with my puppy by the way?
  17. def not the best pic at all but the most recent
  18. lol, im in bed and Jaxson is outside in hes pen so cant even go check....well i can but its soo warm in my bed lol
  19. Oh Gayle, i was gonna ask you on sat but i forgot, would you be able to take some pics of Kane and Jax for me please? dont have any really nice ones lol.
  20. Oh yeah, ive been told that before, but i cant find any brindle on him whatsoever, not that it would make any difference if there was, i love him for who he is, not hes breed or colour. Doesn't matter if you can't see it....genetically it's still there! yeah, nah i know, apparently its genetically there in OH's red stafford too, but ive got no idea lol.
  21. The only reason you can't show ANY dog is if it is not on main register. Who told you that you couldn't show your dog????? What would being a solid colour have to do with anything - you can show brindle Staffords and pied ones do pretty well, brindle is even in the breed standard As Ellz has already said. Blues can't have a black nose but honestly there's plenty of dogs with much more serious faults than this that win week after week. IF I had a blue which was a good example of the breed I would show it. I have seen three blues which I would consider show quality - 2 in the UK and one in Australia so I don't fancy your chances of having stumbled across one! None of these dogs was bred or kept because it was blue. You can show black and tan Staffords if you want to, I have seen a liver win a CC at a large show under a so-called terrier expert and another become a champion (in weak competition admittedly). The Staffordshire Bull Terrier standard doesn't have any disqualifications, so there is no reason you can't show any dog. Whether you'd win or not is a totally different story. hes registered on main reg. Lol honestly i couldnt tell you of he was a good example of the breed or not, until we bought Jaxson i wasnt ever a fan of Staffords, so i have no idea what is a good or bad example.
  22. lol you could prob steal him pretty easily atm, hes being a bit naughty as of late....
