  1. Somehow I missed this WELL DONE Amanda and Kinta, what lovely lovely babies :D
  2. In that case...... .........I am a very very proud mum today. I have only recently started formal obedience with my goofy BC boy and he has been past up a level everytime he has been. (3 weeks, 3 class levels). I know this isnt a trial brag (and hopefully in the future I will have a few to add), but I am extremely happy with my boy, especially considering I am juggling 3 BCs in obedience at the moment, which is an effort for 1 handler let me tell you
  3. Wow, so many replies, thanks everyone for your input. I managed to pick up a bottle of fish oil capsules (400 for $13.95) which is great value and the dogs are eating them! I will definately check out the performa 3, thanks for that. Some of the other ones people suggested are fine if you are feeding 1 dog, but it would be very expensive for me.
  4. Well Ness has convinced me to try Fish Oil capsules even though im sure I will regret it when the dogs spit them back at me like last time I found these http://epharmacy.com.au/product.asp?id=489...mg+Capsules+400 You get 400 capsules for $16.99 which is great. I would still prefer an oil but after calling my pharmacy, I found out that the human and dog oil is priced the same.
  5. I am currently giving 4 dogs the Vets All Natural Flaxseed Oil and one 500ml bottle is lasting me 10 days IF im lucky. I just give roughly a slirp in each meal. Is there a cheaper was to buy either Flaxseed oil or Omega oil, the brand doesnt matter. I found VAN the cheapest but this is turning out to be a very expensive exercise at about $25 a bottle depending on how cheap I can get it! Thanks guys
  6. It sounds like you were originally feeding the Puppy Rehydratable which is for puppies up to 6 months, the kibble are little rough pellets. Naturally, kibble for large/giant breeds is designed for these size breeds. I feed Advance to all of mine and they dont chew it either. I add water to it and it slows them down a bit. You purchased the Adult Large/Giant Breed DENTAL which is large kibble. If you are concerned, purchase the Adult Chicken which is also for large breeds, small breed adults get Turkey and Rice. Hope this cleared it up for you
  7. What comes out the other end seems to be just as important as what goes in when it comes to dog food. Your experience is not making Artemis sound like an ideal option. Anthony, I fed Artemis for 6 months to 4 dogs and was very pleased with it. Everydog is different The only reason I stopped feeding it is because I only found it to be available at 1 store and I found it more economical to purchase locally so switched to Advance.
  8. http://www.advancedpetnutrition.com.au/product.aspx These are the ingredients in Adavance Adult All Breed - Not really a huge different between this and Hills Science Diet or Optimum. Approx Prices & Kgs Adavance - $98ish =15kgs Optimum - Can't find price Hills SD - $95ish = 15kgs i.e these equal around $6 a kilo! I wouldnt say that Advance and Hills are similar at all. I would never touch hills!! Optimum is the only supermarket food I would feed if I HAD to. And I certainly dont pay $98 for Advance. It is more like $80
  9. I recently checked out the price of dry food at the supermarket and was shocked that I was paying close to the same price for Advance...I know which one i'd rather be buying!
  10. ok I have uploaded them straight into the thread so others can see. Im not sure what quality they will be now as DOL shrinks them, but here goes: These were taken on a D80 with a kit lense. I played around with the camera settings for a good while before I was happy with the clarity of the clouds. It was also a VERY clear day which helped a lot. It stormed the following day so I suppose the clouds were "brewing".
  11. It looks bloody rediculous :p What next? A feed bag so they can eat on the run!
  12. :p Thanks everyone!! I love clouds too It is my fault the pics didnt show up, something to do with my Picasa album, sorry guys
  13. I have always wanted to be able to take nice clear shots of clouds, the other day the sky was so crisp so I got my camera out. I am pretty sure I fluked them all but I think theyre puuuuurdy
  14. These are amazing, well done everyone Even though I have Photoshop, I dont have the patience for it. I have no idea what im doing and often give up. I wouldnt ever attempt some of the stuff you are all doing!
  15. mine was on there but now its gone Robatife (Border Collies)
  16. Coles (Victoria) has 2 x 8kg bags for $50!!! Thats a saving of nearly $25 as these bags retail for $36ish each normally.
  17. I do love my D80. I only have a kit lense and it takes a beautiful photo.
  18. Hi everyone, Thanks for all the replies. I called Nikon, they were no help at all So I had a fiddle myself and found out it was saying the lense wasnt attached which it was! So I took the lense off and reattached it and now its working again. Thanks to all the help offered
  19. Nope its not the timer. Definately a flash related problem. I dont have a spare battery.
  20. Hi all. I have been through my manual and cant find the answer. I have a Nikon D80 with the kit lens and all of a sudden it wont take photos. It has a flash icon with a sqaure box around it blinking on the top screen and it will only take photos with the flash off that turn out pitch black. It was working fine yesterday..what have I done
  21. Well we went through 2 big bags, and a small one of Orijen before changing to Artemis. My dogs were always hungry on Orijen and looking for more food. It was also getting very expensive to feed 4 dogs on. All are doing much better on Artemis.
  22. Well I have given it a test run today, here are a couple of pics taken with the kit lens
  23. Loving the GSP photos, well done I got a Nikon D80 today and i LOVE it. I ended up opting for a kit and the next lens I buy will be a zoom lens. I have given it a few test shots and even though it is dark here (night time), it is getting amazing shots. The focus is awsome, cant wait to test it out in day light.
  24. Luke, very generous offer, but I couldnt accept. Thanks so much though, very very kind of you I dont know if I can wait till up to November for a new camera...ill go down today and have a look at some. Luke, those photos are awsome, were they taken with the kit lense?
