Hello, I am after a nice logo for my puppy contract/stud contract I would like a round logo featuring these 2 photos, saying Robatife Border Collies I would love to have a couple to choose from so if everyone could join in on this, it would be much appreciated

I use Interceptor Spectrum, because Border Collies cant have ivermectin products. I find this great. It is the same as Sentinal Spectrum except it doesnt cover fleas. Interceptor is half the price and my dogs rarely get fleas. If they do, I buy some Frontline, but I have only had to do that once. Interceptor is a beef tablet and the dogs dont even chew it, they swallow it whole.

Impossible to get the dog ML, go to a health food store and buy the human one. We used to feed it, but havent been able to get it for around 2 years.

Rc Sensible No Longer Available In 15kg
Lemonlime replied to Reddii's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
$122 for 15kg Down here in Melbourne our bags are around $80-90 depending on the pet store. Was it Michelle Hill who called you? If so, she is great -
My adults are fed once a day, as soon as I get home from work. There are 3 (soon to be 4) and they take forever to eat their meals, I simply dont have time to sit there and watch them eat in the mornings. They are doing fine.

Where Do I Buy Decent Scissors?
Lemonlime replied to pomquest's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
We use Millers & Forge Thinning Scissors. There are 2 types, the $20 ones or the $40-50 ones. The more expensive ones work a treat and I would highly recommend them, you can even get replacement blades for them. I dont think they are badly priced either. I think Prestige Pets sell them. (Do a google and they pop up). -
Thanks for the help!! I will be giving a few of those places a call

I was thinking more of vet clinics that run puppy preschool...dont know if people can recommend any in my area.

I have never taken any of my pups to puppy preschool. However I would like to try this out with my upcoming puppy. Can anyone recommend a good puppy preschool near Sunbury, VIC?

Hi, I guess what I am feeding is a modified prey model diet. I dont think I could dish up hearts just looking at them makes me feel sick so I will feed other organs instead. I also dont have access to "whole" animals with fur and I know my boy wouldnt eat them anyways. I think ive started out well. I work at the market so I can collect things over the week to add to his diet.

I am having lots of fun with this diet and my boy gets so excited for his meals everyday, thanks everyone

Hi CountingSheep! Feeding the Prey Model diet is pretty exciting - I've been doing it roughly since Bean came into my life last March, and I still really enjoy searching out different meats at the best price, and watching him eat them! Just some tips/hints. The 'sardines in oil' you're feeding sound like they're coming out of a tin. Just remember these are cooked, not raw, which is what the diet is all about. Visit a fresh fish shop and have a look what they've got - I buy large, raw salmon heads for just 50c each, and also small whitings or even fresh sardines. Also, one of the big things about the Prey Model diet is feeding the dog meat/bones/organs as he would actually eat them. He needs to be able to rip/tear/shred the meat - too much mince as opposed to actual cuts of meat should be avoided. The chicken frames & necks are good. I'd recommend fish heads, lamb necks, shanks, kangaroo steaks or tail pieces, turkey pieces, goat, rabbit, chicken giblets, lamb hearts etc. I do use mince (mainly chicken or kangaroo) - as a treat in Bean's Kong in the mornings. I pack it in there as tight as I can the night before, and then freeze it. It's a great boredom buster (for an hour tops, anyway!). You asked about supplements... I don't use any. If you're on a Prey Model diet, you shouldn't need supplements, as the dog is getting everything it needs and nothing it doesn't. I just have to look at my dog's shining coat and healthy teeth to know everything's fine. All the best for the diet change! The big thing about Prey Model/Raw diets is the research - you find out new things every week! It feels really good to know you're giving your dog the best life and diet you possibly can, and as nature intended. Thanks for the reply :p I will go into the market tomorrow and look for some RMB and maybe cut the mince down to a couple of days a week, and use mainly RMB instead.

I would just like to add, I am not trying to steal the spotlight, I just saw schaef's topic on prey model But any tips would be great

Hi everyone, Yesturday I switched my boy onto the Prey Model Raw Diet. I am very excited and already have a stocked freezer. My good friend Wylie has been helping me out and has given me some good articles to read, but I would love any tips from those of you who feed this. So far I have gathered Roo & Rabbit mince, Diced Beef, Chicken Frames, Chicken Liver, Chicken Necks Sardines in oil and Eggs. How am I doing? I remember ready somewhere DeltaCharlies diet plan for her/his dogs and it looked nice and easy. I want to make this an easy no fuss thing as at the moment I am worried I am giving too much of one thing and not enough of the other, so any pointers on how much bones, meat and organs I should be feeding each week would be great. Also, who adds suppliments to this diet? Does anyone add a health booster or any oils? Many Thanks (And thanks to Wylie for letting me pester her so much, as always )

Flea Treatment Which Works
Lemonlime replied to lilyandjazz's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
I have heard from a few breeders that the cheapest most affective way to kill fleas is Raid Flea Killer Spray You can get it from the supermarket (although mine doesnt stock it) and you can spray carpet, bedding and even your dogs!! Its only about $6.00 a can. -
Collie, Border Collie, Aussie Shepherd People
Lemonlime replied to Lemonlime's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Hi, Thanks for the replies. I have been using Interceptor for a few years and love it, but with 3 large dogs (and the possibility of more down the track), it is becoming a costly thing I was just looking at alternatives because I am on the last dosage for the packet and was also interested to hear what fellow "Collie" owners use. -
I was just wondering what the owners of Collie type breeds use as a heartworm, flea and intestinal worm treatment/prevention? I know many wont take the risk with ivermectin products and am curious to know what you use as an alternative (if you use an alternative), and if you do use a ivermectin product, which one is it? Thanks CS

What To Do With A Dog That Doesn't Like Raw
Lemonlime replied to WreckitWhippet's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Our German Shepherd wont eat raw either. I supervise them while they eat raw and my Borders finish quickly and look at me for more, while my Shep is still tackling her first bone...she gets kibble only now, I get sick of waiting for her to eat raw lol -
Nutrience here, I keep trying others and going back. I liked Eagle Pack but they didnt look any different on it, so I am back on Nutrience Holistic. It is better priced too and easier to get.
-
Well thanks for your replies, I will look into getting some when my Aloveen runs out.
