  1. I have my 3 with this company and they have gone from taking 1 payment out for all 3 to making 3 separate ones a months. Renewal come in and besides the fact they got the name of 2 of the dogs incorrect my payments have gone from 107 a month to 127 a month...20% increase and tht is with a discount for have 3 animals insured. Am looking around for other alternatives myself.
  2. She's slack lol you know me too well :D ;) Ok, have an ok pic, but his croup looks icky because I forgot to brush it as it all got messed up in the crate before photo time I'm waiting on some more, but she had to go to QLD so hopefully when she gets back, they should be really good ones!!!!!
  3. Sue the same as what CD has said. I am somehwat lucky as my hubby often goes OS for work so I either order and ahve it sent to his work in US and he brings it back or sends it on OR one of his friends over there will send on. We have actually found at times it is cheaper postage wise to have it sent to the US office and then repost, sometimes half the cost of sending directly from what is quoted. I have bought collars and leads, toys, books and recently grooming items brushes combs creams etc. Alot of the time yes you can purchase these grooming items here and normally if I needed a little I would just purchase here however when hubby is going OS I order in bulk (as in biggest size) I love the collars and leads and even bowls from OS you cant always get them here. I also just love to look at wht is OS :-) When we went on holidays a couple of years ago I had a ball buying things for the dogs toys, brushes, collars and leads. Even with postage and exchange rate I have found it to be cheaper and / or comparable to items over here. If I saw for instance a collar I liked in an online store an one here but online was nicer I would buy it online. Alot of the US places cant afford to have bad service or rip people off as this is their lively hood and touch wood in the past I have never had an issue, word of mouth is a great thing. Oh I have just spent $100 on soe grooming items at petedge, ordered last week and already at US office just waiting for hubby to send back, cant wait ETA- I refrained from ordering when the dollar was really bad last year
  4. Hehehe just added it to my favs thanks CD
  5. Thanks Megz, yes have them. The ones I had were basically the overseas ones that have items you either are not able to purchase here or is alot cheaper :-) even with postage, of course depending on how much you order. I often order from the sites on Dogz

  9. Hi All OH upgraded my laptop and in the process has deleted EVERYTHING from it including lots of online stores that have fab dog / animal goodies ie grooming supplies etc. If you have a fav would you mind very much posting or pming the links. I cant remember the names of them all - I just savced to favourites and when I was looking was just ordering lol. Im sure others would love a few links too :-) Many thanks
  10. Have not even heard of PLayhouse. Lol my dream is to run my own boarding facilities but mine would be mostly cats as they are easier to look after. There are lots of good facilities out there for both as in care etc I just like my guys to have room to run and this place in Sydney they actually have around 1/2 -3/4 acre where they spend their days together but are moved up into a pen of a night, as do other dogs. If I had small dogs I would look for a place just like yours where there were no big dogs :-)
  11. So what do we coasters with bigger dogs do? I have 2 bcs and a shep and when we went away we actually travelled to Sydney so our dogs had room to run (in their own pen) I dont like the idea of them just being put in with unknown dogs which alot of the places up here say they do and why I wont use them. Off to check out the others though cos it does sound really nice.
  12. Are you a Canon or Nikon person? I dont know about Nikon prices but you should be able to get a Canon 1.8 cheaper than that online and even retail. DWI: http://www.dwidigitalcameras.com.au/store/...sp?idProduct=63 here's the 1.4 http://www.dwidigitalcameras.com.au/store/...sp?idProduct=62 Cameras Direct: https://www.camerasdirect.com.au/index.php/....8-ii-lens.html although you still have to add postage on top. Beeb got one retail from JB hi fi for $120! Oops forgot to say canon 40D Thanks for the links
  13. Ok I looked online at Dirtcheap cameras and they have listed the lenses at 140 and 480? Only place I could find them sooooooo how far away are you all shooting from please and are the above prices about right? Hubbys going OS so not only going to get him to check out the flash but these aswell although 140 isnt alot for over here and neither is 480

  15. Hi OH is going to USA in a couple of weeks and is intending to purchase a flash for the camera (he thinks it 3will be cheaper over there) My question is what type of flash should we be getting please? Many thanks

  17. I know in our show cats we found that depending on what we fed depended on what colour staining came out (persian and exotic) ie cat kibble we would get brown/red staining, chicken wings/meat no staining. I didnt know that wasnt normal in dogs though, however, if it is of any help we used and still do Kojo Eye Conditioner from Petnetwork and it is was marvelous, clean the whole eye area with a cotton ball soaked in it and it doesnt iritate the eye. I know of dog show people who use it also on their dogs.
  18. Tess what lens did you have before if you dont mind me asking please? We have the Canon 40D and have the EFS 17-85, am wanting to get a alens tht will enable me to not be on top of any subject I m wishing to photograph. Considering the 300mm and the 400 as above. Trying to search to see if if I can find some shots to see the dif :-)
