  1. That must ba a trait that only ball obseesed dogs have, my white girl is the same and when she does finally stop because her bladder is busting she is half running at the same time, very funny!!
  2. I would have much rather been having a doggy outing that being at work this arvo, I was thinking of you guys, cant wait till we have another get together. Hope your headaches gone soon RJ, maybe your getting Tenties flu, there has been a headachy flu thing going round latley. Pandii, do you think you will be able to stick around after training on Sunday?? Who are you trainign at the moment, Seb?? Has he been easy to train?
  3. Hey Guys, how did you training session go today??
  4. I recently bough a set of whahl KM SS, they have been great. does any body use the stainless steel guide combs, on my old clippers I only had the plastic ones but the Stainless steel ones are great, just wondered how others found them to use??
  5. Its funny cause I am always about and about and I never see you guys, must be differetnt Times!! Mawson always goes to albert park and so do I but Ive never seen her there ever!! Hows your boys broken thumb doing??
  6. Good idea. When I found I was taking my camera everywhere, and because I've already had one stolen I decided to add it onto my contents insurance. I am covered now even when I take it away from home. You need to insure the lenses separately though. It does give me peace of mind so I think it's worth it. Hi Clover, just wondered how you went with your busted lense, was it covered under warranty. I have recently bought another lense and I wanted to know if all my gear was covered outside of the home, so I rang my insurance company and they said all of my equipment is covered outside the home and the good thing about the camera gear is each item is covered for a certain amount, it is not all classified together, so If everything got stolen, I can make a claim on each individual piece of equipment up to a certain amount. I didnt have to pay any extra on my contents insurance my policy already covered my equipment away from home. Im thinking it would depend on the insurance company as to how they go about insuring things away from the home. Hope you got it sorted!! Kirislin, did you have to pay any extra on your policy or was it an inclusion of your existing policy?
  7. Ha ha thought you were going to bed!! Poor Boof, thankgoodness for Mummy cuddles!! I learnt to get my lot bathed very fast very quick when I first started going, it was costing me a fortune. I bath them at home if they are really dirty and only use the dog wash if they are semi dirty, if that makes sense. whooo hoowwww 6 to go!!!! youll crack it tomorrow no worries!!
  8. 143, your nearly there and your going to bed, dont go stick around a bit longer....your probly gone by now. Yea I do spend a bit of time bathing my guys, I love the doggy wash, I put all mine in together and can wash them all for $12 they love it and are really good they just sit and let me do all the work I dont use the dryer though I just find it isnt hot enough, so I go home for the blow dryer.
  9. Nope defintley not sick of you, I could talk dog stuff all night!! It does sound like the two different clubs have very different classes, In our puppy classes that we take pups from 8 weeks, they learn to sit, drop, stand, recall, stay, look/watch, walking nicely on a loose lead. Usually by the time they have finished the 6 week course they can do it all reasonably, we also do the basic puppy stuff like getting pups uses to other people handling them, lots of talks about lots of puppy stuff (especailly good for new owners) and the pups have some off lead socialization, which is great. Anyway Im going on a bit now, All my pups are sleeping soundly as we had traning this morning then this arvo a girlfriend and I took the dogs to thunder point and walked nearly all the way to levys, needless to say they are all exhausted and im not far behind them. They had a ball, did some swimming, rolled in some dead birds, climbed some cliffs. Run up and down the sand hills they didnt stop for 2 hours strait!! Wish I had that energy! So they have all had a bath and not a peep out of them!!
  10. Ha you answered my question before I even posted, your class one sounds a lot different than ours, we are also assesed on how focused the dog is on the handler and the relationship between the two! We are not allowed to use any treats for assesment and once you get into level 2 no food is allowed to be used unless you are doing a new excersise. Once you go up a few more levels they add new excersisies and also build on what you have done in the first classes, things like longer stays etc..... not many posts to go now RJ. Gee well never see you once you get into off topic, it can be a real time waster.
  11. I just thought of another question, do you guys have to have an assesment to pass the grade before you go up to the next level?? Our class one & two consist of things like heeling, sit stand drop incorperated into heeling routine, stay from a sit stand drop position 6 paces for 10 seconds, small retrieve excersise, right and left about turns and recall. Is that similar to what you guys do??
  12. Hey Pandii and RJ, do you know if your class one and two involved a retrieve excersise?? My two older dogs are both in class two and my youngest girl is in class one and my youngest boy is still in the well behaved program, he does everything perfectly but the out of sight wait so we cant pass to go up to class one, My oldest two are very crappy at retrieving so they cant pass class two. and the one who is in class one is a wizz at retrieving but seems to be the class clown and is never focussed on obedience so she is stuck in class one. Also with helping to teach classes I dont get as much time to get my own through, so i know where your coming from Janet, I need 4 sets of hands!! I guess what Im wondering is how different the programs are for say classes one through to four. Do they give you a thing to say what you need to do to pass??
  13. Wish I wasnt working tomorow I would have come too..
  14. Oh finally!! They are very cute, Will you and any of your furkids be joining us next sunday afternoon for a little doggy get to gether?? Do you work in town?? I work at Bunnings perhaps you have seen me?
  15. Hi Tenties, sounds like this flu thing is a pain inthe butt, hope you shake it soon. Gee between us all I reckon we would have a winning flyball team!!
  16. Oh RJ you will be able to teach the rest of us to go about fly ball, My white girl is like Sniff, BAll obsessed andshe can run and jump like the wind so I think she would love fly ball, hope we can get something organised!! I will definatly be interested in a catch up after training next week!! We still dont know what type of dogs/dog Munchin has??

RJ, What time do you finish training on a Sunday? Are you going to be hanging around for a while tomorow after training?? Do you usually take both dogs with you or Just the little guy? 22. Its a worry when they get injured, Mums have a tough job especially with active kids. I have a girlfriend who has a 10 year old, just getting over a broken collar bone at the 6 week mark and wham he falls over and back to square one, he was devestated poor kid.
