  1. Just checking.... can someone confirm that babies do need to go back tomorrow?
  2. Thanks stonebridge, hopefully they do some some mowing!! Congratulations on your wins too I was just looking at the program could someone confirm? Are Group Specials on the day or are all done on the Saturday, it looks to me like they are not till Saturday.
  3. I am going but think I might clash:( Normally I would just drop one out, but being Toowoomba Royal would love to show both. This is my first time at Toowoomba does anyone know how the rings are set up? Is it possible to do both rings? I have a Scottie and mini Schnauzer entered. Failing that does anyone want to show a Scottie (I have an extra pass to get in)
  4. That is quite strange I transfered my prefix between states no worries without having to re-sit the exam. Also did not re-sit for my second prefix application.
  5. I would think you are stuck with it. However I have just applied for a second prefix for my second breed. You should not have to resubmit the exam as you have already passed. As long as no puppies have been registered under your current prefix for the designated breed you can register a new prefix but will need to pay again. Call and double check though, this is only my perception
  6. Thats what I really need the foot also enclosed. I have been googling but not coming up with the right results.
  7. Thanks becks, yes for my dogs wet dirty furnishings every day does not keep them white!
  8. Me too! Unfortunately I live on a rural property on a highway I do mow a track but the grass grows so quick!
  9. THANKS .... but for my dogs  I have mini schnauzer with white legs and they come home brown with grass seeds in them every morning.
  10. I am trying to find waterproof leg proctectors as I walk my dogs through long wet grass every morning. Does anyone know where I can buy some?

  13. I have owned two dogs that suffered from reoccuring demodex. In my opinion it was caused by food/skin allergies which then developed into demodex (demodex was secondary to the immune drop caused by the inflamation the allergies caused). I always found symptoms started as either pimples on the stomach or as hot itchy feet. The first sign was always lots licking on the feet. If untreated correctly it would flair up into a wet, hot rash loaded with demodex (positive scrapings were taken). After extensive vet bills I found the best solution was controlled food. No snack, treats what so ever and fed them on barf only with added omegas. However this would work fine in winter but spring/allergy season I would have to use medication to control as well (dectomax). Both were desexed as I did not want these lines with these issues but it did not help improve their issues. EDIT to add, treatment of by-weekly advocate did not clear it up, using medication was only a temporary fix unless food/allergens were fixed as well.
  14. Ok, I know a cropped dog can not be shown here is Australia. I do not understand why an imported docked dog can be shown whilst an imported cropped dog can't, with both procedures being illegal in Australia now. Can anyone clarify for me?
  15. Any news? I am still hoping to go just wondering if it will be on (don't want to call and annoy people). Will be taking my time getting up there and have a motel booked.
  16. Dogtainers sell them, we have bought vari kennels through them.
  17. she doesn't have thrush on her tongue does she?
  18. could it be that he gets his energy back earlier now you are walking him earlier in the afternoon (due to it getting dark earlier). Or maybe you are out a little shorter now that it is getting colder...
  19. You have to feed what works for your dogs, all are different. I have tried 6 different dry feeds until I settled back on the one I currently use. In saying that it works great for a Scottie but my schnauzer is a little too much on the lean side. Trial and error will give you the answer Good luck :p
  20. I would not mix feeds. Dry food is analysed to ensure it is nutritionally balanced when fed at correct daily recommended intake. Mixing it with another food can result in the diet being unbalanced.
  21. She is great now, never relapsed (and I must say all your info was so helpfull!). Would be interested to know if your puppy Zoezoom has been immunised recently?
  22. I had a dog have this exact reaction to a C5 vaccination, she did end up getting demodex though. However the first signs were loss of hair around the eyes, grossly swollen head & neck, i suspected puppy strangles. Skin scrappings were negative for demodex originally. A week later after swelling had subsided with anti-histamines (sp) the demodex hit and then lost hair on the face & legs and we had a positive skin scraping. I believe the demodex was an after effect of the lowered immunity from the C5 reaction that occured.
