Retrieving & Field Training Talk

Congratulations everyone on your achievements to date! I'm so in awe Glad to hear Molly has made a speedy recovery! -
Oh AlexF your standard schnauzer is a cutie!! How old? How big are they expected to grow? Pippa, my parents mini schnauzer, comes home in about 2.5 weeks! Puppy breath

Yep you can enter NFC in a class you are eligible to normally enter, but don't need to have the title
-
How many?! I wonder if it would be much cheaper to buy them and get them couriered?! :p
-
What's the forecast?
-
I won't be entered I was first just going to enter NFC because the Open judge is Frank and the girls each have 2 passes under him, so I need another judge!! Then my friend is coming to visit/stay so I won't be doing NFC now, either. So I entered this weekend's trial when I didn't really want to - but it's my only trial until probably September!!! Obedience trials are so scarce this time of year

My dad just called to say he went round to check on the dogs (and steal them) and no damage reported I do suspect though that once they figure out that a bit of digging will bring up the wire, they'll be on top of that job fairly quickly ;) Took them months to figure out they could jump the low temporary fencing I put up to keep them off a section of grass, and I think they only figured it out because a toy accidentally flung in there while playing Couldn't keep them out after that!!

We've heard that before! ;) There is one in August

Left About Turns, Left U Turns And Pivot Turns
RubyStar replied to stan the man's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
I think I posted a video of when Ruby did this, too She looked awfully embarrassed and it took her a few more steps and positions to "get over it" I do U turns now but they need lots of work. They do lovely pivot work when doing rear end awareness, but fade out the thing to place their feet on and they are back to going huh?! Turning Ruby in a U turn is like trying to U turn a semi trailer!! I never taught Millie the continental, she wouldn't have a bar of leaving heel! She just naturally would turn with me without trying. It needs neatening up, though. -
I used to laugh at my family who loved going to Bunnings all the time. Little did I know what fate awaited me I could spend a fortune there... oh wait, I already have!!! I bought some wire garden mesh yesterday and garden pegs and pegged it into the sandy part of my lawn where the dogs insist on digging. Who wants to lay bets that the little buggers rip it up?!?!

You play dirty!

WELL DONE!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D :D :D

I loved the Neverending Story!! Falco is cute! Falkor would work too because he is going to be so light!! I loved Falkor in the movie! Cute pictures, RV and ST! I had the best weekend! It was my first trial free weekend in, well I don't know when!! I am exhausted as I was flat out cleaning the house top to bottom on Saturday, then gardening for most of today, but I feel awesome because much was achieved!! Still have so much more to do, like painting doors, cleaning the car and the garage out! I'm sure I have heaps of stuff I can throw out or sell. I'm feeling so old.... I really enjoyed my stroll by myself today around Bunnings and it gave me the itch to try my own paving project. Am I crazy?!?!

Very nice, CC!! Love the bow! I remember when I picked my new car up, they covered it with a big sheet thingy then got everyone in the office to come out for the "unveiling" and clap for me on my new car  It was so embarrassing!!!

I have sigs turned off So no sucking me in with cuteness!! A Pap wouldn't count as a whole dog would it so I still have room for another Lab, right?
-
My kinda girl

Yes the stimulating environments would get them going and a lot of the reported "yappers" seem to be at agility, but they have to be prone to it though because there are plenty of breeds who don't bark in stimulating environments like agility, too. I still love them, though. Can't see me owning one, but if I had to downsize a Pap would be it! So feisty and cute as a button
-
OK you win :p Don't worry, I was told I had no taste by another MEANIE DOLer.... yes, you know who you are. Both of you!!!! :p And just for the record, there is nothing wrong with my taste :D

There's a Foo Fighters thing on TV at the moment, channel 9, looks to be on the making of an album or something.
-
I'm sorry, but....... :p

Use 2 different browsers and keep refreshing ;)
-
I wouldn't be so sure!! Seen plenty of them at agility, and boy do they yap their socks off! But I think if I went the small dog route, a Pap would be a lot of fun, got a lot of big dog spirit!

Formal congrats are in order then, Candice :D I'm terrible at thinking of names. Forever thinking (really I am!), rarely coming up with anything, and I'm not even getting a puppy!! Do you want a "real" boys name, a made up one, a quirky one, etc?
