Leave your dog in a stand, walk away, about turn, down your dog, return to dog.

See that's clever, so as to not offend, Ptolomy used a combination of Nigel No Friends and Norman No Mates ;) Excellent, we can be crazy together... though you take it a step further with showing, too So I don't have the Canine News I need with the details in it for the Gosnells trial, typical I have the one before it and the one after it with me!! If anyone wants to be so kind as to type up the details for me, I would be eternally grateful

Unfortunately not. Who is doing the Midland obedience trial the following weekend and are you doing AM/PM/Both? I've entered both cos I'm a glutton for punishment Just trying to see if I will be buddyless at any stage during the day! It's my local so I might pop down to watch a bit of the trial... is it the Sat or Sun? Sat 30th ;)

I've entered both cos I'm a glutton for punishment Just trying to see if I will be buddyless at any stage during the day! I am only entered for the morning as i have a wedding in the arvo as hubby forgot to tell the people we wont be going!! Also i did not want to do 2 in 1 day and then do a trial on the sunday morning too, thats asking to much of Mason- i know his limitations, he is a good boy but gets tired easy. I think i will be friendless this coming sat and hibby is working so i will be a real norman no mates lol. I think you are good for entering just the 1. I did both year before last then trialled the Sunday morning and it was just way too much. Ruby got her CCD in the Midland AM trial so the PM trial and the Sunday one were "bonus rounds", but we stuffed those bonus rounds up royally So you are trialling Sunday then? That is Gosnells? Bugger I haven't sent an entry off for that! ;) Is that due in today, too? I have my cheque book with me at work and my K9 news so I will have to have a flick through and get it sent off. Definitely a glutton for punishment. Might scratch the Midland arvo trial, not sure. Ummm the same oval they train on I believe... Jack Mann Oval or something like that?

Agility Training Talk Thread
RubyStar replied to Vickie's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
Not really, but I should start. After this past weekend, I think my agility addiction may have been stepped up a notch -
I just remembered a funny from the trial. Millie got special mention at the presentations for the best heeling into the ring Thank goodness she got a clear round so she could prove she is more than just an obedience dog

The girls are looking good RS A question for the confuzzled.....do you compete within your height class in WA? Thanks They are really coming along! Ruby didn't miss a beat in jumping all weekend! The only thing she fluffed out of 6 runs over the weekend was her agility final :D The girls both measure at 53cm so are in the 500 jump height, which is what they compete at. I hope that answers your question? :D Sorry RS - my question was badly worded I understand that they compete at 500 but on your video you had "6th place in 500 class" so I was wondering whether dogs are placed within their class. Does that make any more sense??? ETA: I think RV answered my question! :D I went away and made some toast and a coffee and went :D I think I know what TSD was asking now But thanks RV for clearing that up!

Rounds from today, including the finals: Ruby - Millie -

Another great day at agility Ruby got another clear round in Novice Jumping, and Millie got her first clear round in Novice Jumping. Both made it to the finals Both girls got their 2nd clear round in Novice Agility, also both making it to the final for that, too! So proud of my girls! We had a fantastic weekend Thanks to CrazyCresties for taking some photos of our dogs! Hope you enjoyed yourself

I still would. You have to return to the dog behind them after stays, SFE, COP. But like with the finish, I'd start teaching the return as a separate exercise to anything.

Wow so many brags this weekend!!!!!!! Congrats to everyone! Like ness said, so many brags that I am scared to miss one so I am going to do the chicken's way out and just bulk congratulation everybody What an absolutely fantastic weekend I had!!! Day 2 today of the WA State Agility Trial. Yesterday Ruby got a clear round for her JD title, while in Novice Agility, Millie got a clear round for 1st and Ruby also got a clear round for 2nd. Today, both girls went clear in Novice Jumping, getting 5th (Millie) and 6th (Ruby). They also both went clear in Novice Agility, getting 4th (Millie) and 5th (Ruby). Both trials today there was less than 1 second between them!!! I think that is too freaky They both made it to the finals in AD and JD. Both bombed in Agility, messing the weavers up! They like doing things the same, adds to the freaky factor In Jumping, Millie ran around the 3rd last jump on the home stretch, while Ruby went clear Sadly we didn't win, but we were beaten out by another Labrador so all is good in the world!! ;) Couldn't be happier with my 2 girlies!!!! They really did me so, so proud!!!
-
Ruby was knackered after her 2 runs! The poor dear was so tired that at presentations, she lay down in the centre of a circle of people and, well, that accomplishment enough!!
-
Think I've got some sunstroke or something, I feel a bit icky What a hot day to hold it!! Why can't we go to day time trials in May or June instead?
-
Small brags for me Ruby got her JD title today! She also had her Novice Agility debut and gained a clear round and 2nd place in 500! She was beaten out by Millie, yet again Millie got 1st place! Millie clipped one bar on the spread in Novice Jumping though, bugger! (erm ok she didn't clip it, she pretty much smashed it ) Ruby: (I got a bit lost on the course and I'm so chuffed Ruby was finally able to do the dogwalk after her DW phobia of late) Millie: Very proud of my kids! We're back again tomorrow to do it all over again
-
Poor horse!!
-
Great day at the state agility trial today! Thanks to everyone for a great day and great company Topped the day off with a win in Novice Agility with Millie, 2nd place going to Ruby! Beaten by 2.5 secs  Ruby got 6th place in Novice Jumping for her JD title Millie knocked a bar on the spread in Novice Jumping, so close!! Back again tomorrow!! I'm buggered

Not sure about where you live, but down at my local park, I can't say I've heard too many people shouting out the names Halia, Kiana, Keiki, and Kanani RiverStar-Aura, I like Ilyia and Nari for a girl
-
Thanks for the show info, mirawee! I haven't even read the current rules for agility, and I compete :D Oopsies
-
Thanks. My mum wants to go and check out some group 6 dogs... so if anyone knows if we might see some of them at the K9 tonight that would be great
-
There is a show on tonight at the K9, right? Can anybody please tell me if I can expect to see all breeds there or specialised ones? Thanks
