  1. I'm a grandma I wish there were a few more for you, however you do have 2 and they will be gorgeous! Good girl Jazzy xx You are She is doing ok but not interested at all. I am putting them on her every 2 hours and toileting them. Here are some shots. Question the poos are very bright yellowie tan. Is this normal?? Little Boy born 170 g and today 191g Little girl born 220 g today 247g Oh, they are gorgeous
  2. That's terrible t-time. And yes, it seems that during pregnancy is a big no-no. But after whelping can be helpful (from what I gather)
  3. Excellent. Thanks everybody, that cleared it up for me. I'll probably just keep coming back to this thread whenever I have a random question ... should've called it Pregnancy for Dummies or something lol
  4. Can people explain to me about calcium sandoz? I understand it is something given to the bitch either during whelping or just after to replace lost calcium. How necessary is it? When I originally spoke to my vet during pregnancy they said NOT to give any supplements especially calcium as it can end up causing milk fever. So does that mean it's just something you should not give her DURING pregancy, but at the time of whelping (or just after) is it ok? Or should I avoid it altogether?
  5. I just want to add my "good luck" wishes to all the expectant owners. It is terribly nerve wracking though. This is my girls first litter, so I'm just hoping all goes ok. But I look forward to hearing about the safe arrivals of all the different puppies and seeing your photos
  6. Wow Kanati, that is a big belly.
  7. My cavalier king charles spaniel is pregnant. Puppies should be due around the 10th May
  8. Thanks everybody. And Jed, she is 3 and a half weeks
  9. Yes, she seems healthy enough otherwise. She does seem quieter/lazier than what she is normally, but I assume that's just another symptom of pregnancy
  10. She never eats sardines (has never liked them). I gave her some raw fresh chicken meat last night, had a little nibble but that was it. I might try her with the scrambled eggs. I was gonna take her to the vet next week, might bring the appointment forward
  11. Ok, so I know "morning sickness" is a common sympton and pregnant bitches can go off their food early in pregnancy, but is there any suggestions on what foods you can give them that might still tempt them, but is still healthy for them to eat? My girl has gone off her food and doesn't seem to have eaten much at all for the past week. We gave her some beef liver treats tonight (which she scoffed down) but I didn't want to give her too many of them coz I find she gets the runs if she has too many of them. So I tried some weetbix mixed with hot water and milk, and she managed to eat some of that, but I'm a bit worried about giving her too much milk. Is milk ok? Any other suggestions?
  12. Thank you both for your responses. And congrats on the impending litter Cavalblaze
  13. My cav female has had three "dates" with the stud. The first was on day 9 of her cycle and he showed very little interest. The second was on day 11 and he showed a lot more interest, tried mounting her several times and humping, but no penetration. The third was on day 13 and we had a tie for about 15-20 minutes. Do you think this should be enough or should I maybe try for another session on day 14?
  14. I've just noticed my cav has a small lump just above her nose. It's only about the size of a grain of rice, pink in colour. It seems like it may be painful to touch, but she doesn't seem ill or anything. I'm thinking maybe it could be from my cat swatting her one when they play fight. Or is it possible for dogs to maybe get an infected hair follicle? Any suggestions? Should I maybe give it a light wipe with some hydrogen peroxide?
