  6. Persephone You hit the nail on the head with that. Media and RSPCA beat up. If we are going to listen to them on this maybe they were right about "PitBulls" after all :D Oh as far as I know their use is banned in Victoria nut not NSW I am not sure about any other states. Jadey
  7. OOhh On the peroxide for wounds thing it is FABULOUS!!! I am allergic to most sterilisers & cleaners used for wounds & piercings etc (including metho) and was told to use Peroxide as an alternative. It cleans very well and helps to heal and stop infections. Does fizz and disolve any scabs, bloods, piss etc But definately doesn't burn. SOOOO Glad to hear they are going to be fine Jentil Jadey
  8. My parents took me to the Dr's as a child reguarding my poor diet. Very fussy eater who happened only to eat maccas. WELL this DR in all his wisdon expressed what a good round meal Mc Donalds is after all you get your wheat, meat, vegetables & dairy all in one meal I wish I remembered the exact name of this doctor now because he would be handing over alot of $$ to a now obese adult. Ridiculous indeed! Jadey
  9. Cindy, Great to hear you had such good progress with Steve but being yet another Loyal client of his I am not suprised at all. Steve has worked miracles with many dogs that I have see with my own eyes including mine. This is an excellent story that highlights the need for individual and correct training methods - One Size does NOT Fit All I use and fully support the use of E-Collar Training and it is in no way cruel. So many people have had a go at me for using the collar on my dog but simply removing her collar and placing it on them and pressing the button solves that argument. NO ONE has felt the "shock" that I give to my dog to correct her. I have had to up it to at least double and most of the time over 4 times the power than I use on my dog before their muscles react and STILL they only feel the muscular reaction and not the actual pulse from the collar. Jadey ;)
  10. 1) All sorts of different fruit and vegetables about $50 a months worth mixed with cheese & Yoghurt as well as chicken carcusses, chicken necks and marrow bones. 2) She is fed once a day at night normally but will be trying to feed twice a day again soon 3) About 500 - 600grams of meat to 400grams of vegetables plus extras 4)Rottweiler, 2.5yrs, female, 30kgs 5)Forestway Fresh or Market for Vegies, Chicken George for Carcusses, Glenrose Butcher for Marrow Bones & Woolies for necks. 6) Have been feeding BARF for a few months. Change over was immediate and she took to it very well and loved everything she was given - I am a lucky one. 7) Was haveing weight and skin problems that no longer exist and I am saving money 8) Much better coat, always been a playful dog that never changes and people comment on how clean her teeth are and how good her breath smells. 11. Another for Aloveen!!! But I am also a sucker for the shine spray from squirt to finish. Jadey
  12. DaFunkette Steve is based in Sydney so a shorter trip than Vic if you would like to do some work with him. Jadey
  13. SpikesPuppy I have seen Steve work with younguns previosly if that was your issue. Also he generally has a 1 dog per handler policy - it just doens't work any other way. Guys I train with Steve in Sydney and I am lucky enough to do some of my photography work with him also - I'd have to say this is an unmissable opportunity! He has all my praises and Storm just loves him. Good Luck putting it all together Salli Jadey
