  1. When we had Cynda scanned at 4weeks, we saw 4 puppies but 1 didn't look right. The vet seems to think that 1 was possible being obsorbed I do know that progestrone levels do play a big part in the bitches ability to go full term without obsorbing but you have to come across a vet that knows all about it and who is prepared to help you with it. All the best with doing that do you have to know what her levels were beforehand???
  2. we are not entirely sure, it just seems that after a week of scanning she starts to absorb. we are going to the vet on wednesday to get her checked over and discuss options then. Its all too new for me with absorbing so i guess all i can do is take the vets advice and follow that
  3. What day is she up to? Is it 54? It will be day 56. That was taken from day 12 of her season and she mated on day 10 also. poor lil poss will explode soon
  4. after speaking with the vet and bella's history ( 2 absorbed litters) we are not going to get a scan done on her due to she stresses out too much with them and we will let nature take its course. She will be 4 weeks on sunday and due around boxing day and she has already become fussy with food and put a little weight on so we will see what happens. I hate not knowing but I think this time its the best way to go.
  5. :D omg how funny..... well when you gotta go you just cant wait
  6. Congratats on the Whippet babies.... sorry about the bubby girl... poor sweet pea
  7. ive ordered it too, i hope it wont take long as i am anxious to read it. thank you for the link
  8. Kylie N..........k isnt the problem its the replies that follow, im just sitting back now having a giggle at how stupid some people can be. This might be the new trend now for bb stating that their dogs now wont have health problems due to being a "mixed breed"
  9. found this on a frontierville neighbours status and i thought i would share the nonsence Kylie N..........k awww, i want a puppie for my boys so bad !! today my son readen was jus sitting at our back door looking outside at that big white dog just all happy hitting the window lol.. they sure would love a puppie to have inside with them all the time ! well most of the time neways, until it gets too big probably but yeaa ! so hard to find nice dogs... Connie S........n Find a small non purebred animal & your son will have a friend for life! Purebreds usually come with various problems that could develop but mixed breeds don't. They are usually better tempered as well!
  10. sbt101 cynda looks like how my bella is and she is 4 weeks.... next week will confirm with scan, but she now refuses to leave her bed in the garage and will only eat roo or doggie roll..... now digs to hide ALL bones ( which were her fav) i would put up pics but i cant work out how to work it to get them on here
  11. well i have put poo in all the holes she has dug and it has seemed to stop her for now she is a lil bugger
  12. congrats SBT101............ your going to be a busy nanna this xmas
  13. first time out she went into my neighbours yard and walked in their house and they didnt know it was my dog and they called the pound (we were home at the time inside watching a movie) 2nd time we had a windy day and our back gates blew open and she just wondered out.... by the time i realised she was too quiet i went looking for her and after an hour searching a man had her tied up at a gate and he told me that her and a stray got into a fight but they both were not hurt. Yesterday I had given her a bath and had her collar off and i went to go have a shower and once again i realised she was missing i called her and my neighbour had her out the front with her in the garden. Im starting to think that she is just seeking extra attention as she LOVES strangers and she will roll over for anyone to rub her belly.
  14. i will list her daily routine 6am- out of crate and toilet and breakie time sits inside with me untill about 830 and then we walk to take my daughter to school and then we keep walking for about an hour when we get home i play with her with her rope and ball during the day she normally sleeps or chews a marrow bone then she will get the idea that its time to escape i hear the digging and i bust her in the act around 230 we will walk again to get daughter from school and walk home and it normally lasts an hour kids at home she will play with them outside... either chasing bikes or jumping on the trampoline with the kids after we have dinner then she gets hers and after kids are in bed she sits with us inside for a bit and then when i go to bed she gets crated i hope that helps
  15. Hi I have a 3yr old stafford and the damn dog HAD a thing for jumping my fence to go for "walkies" all by her self ( not she would do it if i was at home or out ) We extended all our fences with lattice (looks like fort knox ) and now she has decided she will dig under the fence and escape :D She has inside access during the day ( walks in and out the back door as she pleases) and crated at night Walked everyday I just cant understand when she has it good at home she still wants to escape.. any ideas would be great
  16. that is funny, for dogs that have been offered everything that you can think of and they choose that
  17. aawwww all the preg belly's..... too cute..... i hope all goes well for you all
  18. hi i wanted to put up a before shot of bella eventually of her preg but i cant seem to find a thread showing how to do it and it wont let me use my photobucket links..... i know this is sort of off topic but im going out of my mind
  19. we have kicked the idea of going away for xmas and are staying close to home xmas day..... knowing me i probably wont leave the house
  20. My Stafford girls are pure pains like this when in season... My bella was mated today and at 1st she wanted to kill the stud but when she realised he wasnt out to hurt her they were great mates an hour later...Stafford bitches have a temprement that only their fellow owners could understand and i believe it is the same WITH EVERY BREED.... i trust my girls more than i do my own children as i know they would never hurt a human intentionally where my kids in with others is a different story its always the other childs fault (brothers and sister squabbles..... daily basis )
  21. fingers crossed we will have babies due 26th of dec.... please not xmas day
  22. She is fine when she is with my other dog bella, but as soon as they are apart she starts and wont stop untill we put bella back with her. We have tried doing it slowly we have been trying for the last 3 months and nothing has changed.
  23. It has stopped now as bella had a phantom so she is back with her, but for the future i would like to know the best option to handle this
  24. The problem im having with my 6month old staffy is whenever we have some one over when they walk over to pat her she pees herself she is toilet trained but cant get her to stop doing this any ideas on what i can do ? Thanks We still have this problem with our 2 girls when new people come to visit. They dont flood it everywhere like they used to, just a few sprinkles here and there. But yes use a lead when introducing her to people it worked for our girls and warn them before they do pat her (what a shock that would be patting a nice dog and in return getting peed on) and andrew_lessa if what your doing now is working keep at it and keep rewarding her when she gets it right. Good luck to both of you
