Well done Tassie and Sue & Waldo!!!!
Thanks! Pippa's turn now!!!!! You should have seen him in the afternoon. We were both AWFUL!!!

Entered 2 Rally Excellent trials with Waldo and he got a wonderful pass this morning 94. I was over the moon as his training has been so interrupted. He was happy and eager. He had a ball. The afternoon trial…..well no brag to report. He was also flat.

Ruby gained her last pass today in the novice retrieving ability test for gundogs (RATG) for her NRA title :)
Millie was the first in WA to get the title, now Ruby is the second Not the biggest of achievements given there are heaps of dogs in the country already with the title but hey I will take whatever I can get to feel special :p
Awesome work!!! A great achievement so...

Lots of work to be proud of Paddles. Just remember baby steps!!!!!

I have the best mini-schnauzer in the world! (Not that I am biased) but I would warn you that they do need exercise and training to keep them occupied.
They are just wonderful dogs though. Faithful, bright and wonderful companions.

What an effort Tassie and Miss Kirra! Well done!

Well done! And what a superb photo!!
Elsie officially has her first title! Her certificate arrived this morning :)
She got her RN, with scores of 91/100, 96/100 and 100/100!

S&W - sounds like Waldo was a very good boy :D - especially with his interrupted year. And the horrible winds we've had recently make it very difficult for the dogs to stay steady.
Thanks Tassie-he is a real delight and great to train!

Any news on extra spots for the Melbourne workshop yet?

I think UD might just beat me
And if I can't ever get Pippa to pick up a metal article, won't be getting there with her, either! She tries so hard to pick it up, bless her.
Waldo chases metal with his nose and throws leather Must be a schnauzer thing!
Having said this having spent most of the year trying to rest him due to a soft tissue injury I entered a trial last weekend. in CD. The windy conditions made it very difficult but in spite of this Waldo was superb. No passes. In the first trial he was spooked in his down stay and broke. First time I can remember him breaking in training or a trial. We would have had a score of 183. To be honest I was not as happy with his heeling as I have been but the wind was very strong and gusty. In the second trial he was superb. We lost 1 point in heeling and 2 points for COP (because his dumb handler did an extended signal). He nailed the stays. But he moved all 4 legs on the SFE so we lost a 197 pass. In spite of that he worked so well and the judge was SO ENCOURAGING.

Good old mini schnauzers! Waldo ignores food prep noises until you get to carrots. He is there reminding me. LOL.

I forgot to log in so I missed out Hope you can get some more spots.
-
Just found this that might help. Good luck!
You can also put a pair of men's or boy's underwear on her. Put the underwear on backwards and put the dog's tail out through the fly. If bleeding is heavy, affix a female pantyliner or menstrual pad inside of the underpants.

I would like to thank Knox obedience club for putting on a wonderful trial, I'd like to thank all the dogz online community for their assistance in figuring things out... love my ribbon, love my trophy LOVE MY PASS CARD!
WAY TO GO!!!!!!!

Oh. lets not forget, stand means , drop and cringe cause you beat the crap out of me daily..... "hold' means, lets follow you for a few steps...
Ah yes-never work with kids or dogs. See you tomorrow. I am aiming for a happy working dog and anything else will be a bonus.

I have a K9+ crate=love it. They were very helpful working out the size as Waldo is a bit precious and doesn't like small spaces - hated our previous soft crate but no issues with this one. I find it easier to put up too.

 Sue ... nice one Waldo. You never know what they're going to do. Like the feral Kirra at our last club test - decided she LOVED the Tassie Devil toy - and she's not a toy girl - and had never heard of sit. Just as well they're cute and adorable
Don't you hate it when, they just look at you and go..."sit"? "sit" no... I don't think I know that one....
Or....I am sure that when you said sit you meant drop......or stand........
-
Distractions plus Waldo has decided that he has never even heard or thought of the concept of taking a step backwards and remaining in the heel position. Just in time for our first go in Rally Excellent

Awesome work! Well done!!!

Waldo stars at anticipation so I say stAND ('and' really) because as soon as I say 's' he sits (which on rare occasions may anticipate a different word starting with 's" from the handler). The other thing I tried with Waldo is teaching positions not only in the heel position.
