Sorry to hear about your year fetchindawgs 2010 was a mixed year for be too. I had to have my old girl PTS and rehome my Chessie, BUT I also competed at agility nationals, made a ton of new friends and really improved my bond with Toby. I hope someone at training tonight can have a chat with me and Toby about fronts- they are really pathetic. And I wad doing sone clicker work with it that made it worse because the clicker scared him the first time I clicked it and he wouldn't come near me even after I had put it down.

Just thought I would add this to the thread: It's a video of me and Ptolomy's girl Lara doing Rally-O in a mock trial scenario. Lara is 14 years old last week and had a blast! I did something stupid and started to serpentine the spiral. Another question Angelsun, sign number 8 or 9 was slow pace, the next sign was a right about turn and then a halt-1 steps-2steps-3steps, with no normal pace sign between the slow pace and the finish. I queried this and was told that the halt part ends the slow pace. Can you confirm the rules for me please?

He belongs to the user SparkyTansy's sister (who is also a user whose name I cannot remember). He is shown, his shown name is BISS Ch Bobbysox Trail Blazer and he is a pretty sweet boy. Loves all the attention

I am getting a new (secondhand) camera body for X-Mas so I am feeling very inspired. Although I have to go through and develop them (damn RAW ) I got some VERY cute English Setter and Old English Sheepdog playing shots yesterday.

And Scoota: He is such a star, and so is Ptolomy.

Thanks for the info! Scoota's round is going up now. The files are too big to email but I will try to figure something out.

Retrieving & Field Training Talk

If/when I get my LM once it is old enough I would like to do some work with one. In Germany to part of the ability test is that a LM must retrieve a fox over a 1m high fence. I don't know the full significance yet but I am sure I will when I learn German or get a better translator engine. -

Thanks for the advice FHRP. You may know this next one. How on earth do you source a fox in Australia? (For training the dogs, not as a pet obviously) -
Well done (again) RS and Amypie. I wish I had been there to yell "TITLE" for you Amypie. ETA I hate when showing and agility are on at the exact same time.

No problem. She is soooo fun to work with and certaintly keeps me on my toes as she knows what I am supposed to be doing much better then I do. She got an awesome score of 93 too.. the only deductions coming from a handler reading 'Spiral' as serpentine and not being careful with the leash.

You can have a go with Lexi

Toby is getting done next Friday... should possibly ring and check the price.
-
I couldn't help myself. Toby as a baby puppy with cast, corny eastern european music included free.
-
Not wanting to take away from Lara. But Toby is seriously the happiest I have ever seen him. His tail is wagging constantly, he has stopped being so timid all the time and is enjoying being patted again. He is also learning faster and far more ethusiastically. He is engaging in play again and seeking attantion instead of slinking into the shadows. It's like I have a new dog!I have this video of Toby two days after I got him and he is such a bouncy happy thing, he is getting back to that. I think he really suits being an only dog.

Sounds like an invatation to try out my new, red agility pup with some foundation stuff! And a great chance for you to pick on my footwork. Which red kid are you using? The youngest.
