  1. Ok guys what are we going to do about this, it is not working and PR must listen to what we are saying, as I mentioned in a previous post, dogs will die in the pounds now because none are moving out to make room, any suggestions as to where we go from here. It cannot stay this way, especially as CPR animals are seriously being disadvantaged as we are listed 12th on the ACT listings and we have the most animals listed, people who persevere tell us that it is a nightmare looking for a dog in the ACT. 2. Apparently between Newcastle and Maitland, I will add that to the subject. Maree
  3. Is there anyone who can do a home visit in Thornton NSW. Maree CPR
  4. Please see my previous post above yours, it was OLD and cumbersome and had way too much stuff in the history part of the site, as I also said the CPR site was OLD and cumbersome as well and we had to have a new site for the administrator to not have to spend 3 hours putting up one picture. We need to accept that this is the new site BUT we also need to have PR hear what we are saying and please help us by way of our imput to see if they can at least look at what we are saying, if this is it then PR stats are going to drop dramatically as to how many animals are rehomed by way of the PR site, so lets see how we can improve things for the better for us and especially the dogs rehoming. 5. They do have their own problem reporting system - not as easy to use as DOL but it may help if everyone reporting issues here went over and added their issues to the Petrescue site too. That way it will show up in their stats. (it's under 'post a public question' in the help area of the members section) That's fine doing that but all of us who use PR will not see the answers, we all need to know what is going on and if our concerns are being looked into or is the site now complete and we just have to use what we have. We can't have the old site back guys it was like all sites that have been around for years it becomes so big and so cumbersome and out of date and as technology improves we have to go forward, the CPR site was like a nightmare and took 3 hours to upload one photo so it had to be upgraded, I understand why we have a new site, but yes I feel we could/should have had an imput into what we would have liked to increase our adoptions but I must admit my enquiries are really non existant and none of my dogs are really moving, just one adoption here and there, which is not good for the dogs sitting in pounds waiting to get out, I can only fit in so many but am getting frustrated that we arn't getting any feed back. I will try and ring Shel/Vix today and see if I can see what is happeneing. Maree CPR
  6. I am still a tad annoyed that there are 48 rescue groups listed in the ACT and then they are listed alphbetically and the ones before CPR (we have the most listings for the ACT) don't actually have any dogs and have probably not had a dog for years, I also wish that PR would come on and answer some of our issues as we seem to be going around in circles, I know they asked for us all to email them, but, as I said no one else sees the reply and they would probably be answering the same question 100 times so seems logical for someone to come on here where we all are and we are the users of PR. 7. Happens to all of us I am sure, I know PR asked for us to send our concerns to them via email but I think if we list here from the ones who are listing their dogs on the site it will save hundrends of us emailing the same questions which would become rather annoying for PR I would think. 8. I have a few problems with the site, one being that there are 48 rescue groups listed in the ACT, which is just a joke, CPR are the biggest group by the amount of dogs and cats that we have, and can have anywhere up to 40 at any one time and we are listed number 12, also the dogs are listed alphbetically instead of when they arrived into care. Have been told by PR that many groups Australia wide were asked initally where they rescue from hence why they ticked the ACT the question should have been "where are you located" SOS is on page 7 and PAWS are down the pages as well, when people are scrolling through PR they will stop looking if they see pages upon pages with a group listed and no dogs, I don't think it is very people friendly, people here have said that it was very time consuming looking for rescue dogs in the ACT, am only reporting back what I am experiencing here in the ACT. Some of the groups listed in the ACT have not had dogs on their listing for well over 12 months and in some cases many years but there they are alphabetically in the ACT listings. I was going to start a thread where we could all list our concerns and present it to PR. Let me say before I get dumped on I am not having a go at PR I am merley trying to see what others are concerned about as well, if others are happy with the site then I accept that, I don't have a problem about the new PR but just saying what is an issue with us/me and asking what others think. 9. Oops silly me forgot Pauline's number 97460284 Maree
  10. Is there anyone who can do a home check in Melton Vic for me. Maree CPR
  11. I do send my dogs interstate, one has gone to NT, SA, Qld, VIC, I won't send to WA as I feel it is too far for the dog to travel. I have at least 4-5 phone calls with the new owners and can get a very good idea of their character and whether they can give the dog a great home, I have people in that state to do the home visit for me and report back, if I can't get that done I ask for pics of their home, fencing, the whole family, their other dog/s and references, I tell them warts and all about the dog they are adopting, I have a dog going to Byron Bay next week and she has a weak bladder and she dribbles occasionally from a damaged bladder from having babies too young, according to the vet, she can go on meds for life or she doesn't need to it is not serious, the new owner has her vet report and still wants to adopt her, so she is going, it is a great home and I don't want her to miss out on this home as she does deserve the best this little lass. She was picked up in Bungendore rather neglected and in a bad way and had been living under construction machinery and had injured one of her legs which has now healed, she is a cross westie girl called Lollie. 12. A few of us have come to the conclusion why I cannot "add dogs" on to Pet Rescue, I have a group Admin listing and can manage others in the group, also I can edit my listings and others, but for some reason on Pet Rescue side of things I have not had a box ticked to enable me to add dogs, so hopefully after this long weekend PR will fix this as it is a real pain. Does anyone think that this may be the issue that I am having, does it sound like it could happen, or am I just the unlucky one out of the hundreds of members on PT that can't add dogs. I have joined Google Chrome so that isn't the problem, so really has me buggered as to why. Maree CPR
  13. Me too Maree, lol, but since downloading google chrome as suggested earlier, and going through that it seems to have fixed the problem. I did what Nina suggested and have had no luck so am really stuck as to how I am going to add my new dogs in future, I have 8 new ones to go up, I just hope it can be fixed or if anyone has an idea of what I can do, I have emailed PR but I understand that they don't work on the weekends. Maree CPR
  14. Have already listed my problem through PR but thought I might do the same here, I am having trouble adding a pet and keep getting this message: The website cannot display the page HTTP 500 Most likely causes: •The website is under maintenance. •The website has a programming error. is anyone else having the same problem, it happened last night as well. I am so computer illerate  Maree CPR
  15. Is there anyone who can do a home visit at Collaroy Plateau. Maree CPR
  16. Some of the dogs in CPR's listings have my contact details and I don't have the dog, how can I change my details into the right carer within our group as I am getting the enquiries. Maree CPR
  17. Perhaps contact them directly? I have contacted them on a couple of issues, but am sure hundreds of people have also done the same thing so don't want to overload them and just thought it might be usefull for one of them to come on and just explain what is happening, seemed a fair comment to me.
  18. It would be nice if one of the PR people came on here and explained all our concerns so we are at least aware of what is happening or not happening. Maree CPR
  19. I knew it would be something so simple I wouldn't get it :) :) thanks, I am one of those computer dummy's :) Just Andrea and myself are the main managers for CPR, at the start all the dogs and cats were in my name now they are all in Andrea's, a tad annoying. Maree CPR
