  1. Also like us bad teeth can give heart disease All other is just a "bandaide fix".
  2. Billy still has all his hair as well,he must be full of the right attitude. So lovely to have a story to smile about instead of cry over. So it is true"it is not the dog in the fight but the fight in the dog" :D
  3. Yes,morans for sure.........I hope they bite & scratch the culprits to pieces & that the female got away & is found safe...real soon,no matter what security it probably would not stop idiots, although I'm sure they will have to make sure it is more secure for all the animals in their care, makes me feel quite ill & angry. And if by chance they are caught what is the punishment $200 fine, great deterant I must say.
  4. Have you tried Bindi spray or Weed & Feed types? I googled it and Farmers do acres of killing Bindis by applying Sulphate of Amonia.....sprinkle on leave 2-3 days do not water it,it burns them. After 3 days give a good watering, 4 weeks later they suggested to use organic furtilizer to balance the soil back to normal. They say the turf grows a hundred mile an hour(nitrogen in the S/A) so be ready for some serious lawn mowing!!! Just realised you have "Burrs" are they same & one as Bindies?
  5. Thanks Horus, you must be a horticulturist? It does not mention on the Glyphosate label about pets re how long after one has sprayed should I keep them locked up,be it hours or days...do you know? Tested on animals for what reason & the out-come of this?
  6. Sigh of relief for all,we can all get on with our lives once again Julz you have had a rough week but you have also been fortunate to have the best out come. Many reading this thread will never ever have ratsack on their properties after this........so out of some thing bad comes something good........probably saved other dogs' lives......for sure.
  7. Thanks for the helps...next time but Rebanne has done it for us,here!!
  8. LMAO - couch grass LMAO as well....oh dear Lana, the couch not sofa-bed ha ha was strangling my lemon tree.....you certainly think out side the square,I didn't get it until,......clean the couch....what does L mean clean?? Rusty I have the Glyphosate Weed kill also & it is very effective but don't like to use incase of poisening my kidz, rather put up with the weeds....couldn't cop the Bindies though
  9. Me too.....doesn't look good
  10. My dogs would cover themselves in it,just like when I put down Blood & Bone.......rather use to!!lol
  11. I have found a shop at Coopers Plains that sell to the public, web site is Naruralicious Pet Treats phone no 07. 3344.5459,don't know whether they do on-line.I have never done a link here,I shall try!!!I went in for pigs ears 2 kilo $45.00,one is $25.00,they were seconds, that's okay won't be telling my fur kidz.I left with a sack of stuff & spent $100.00. All kinds of stuff,Kangaroo tails, ribs, tendons & even penis, pigs penis also,Yes,I did say penis, didn't ask or see female versions gees every thing is used except the squeal. Now perhaps this shop has been here for ages but unknown to me. Prices most likely change due to availability re seconds. Even poor little sheeps ears. Forget the link,I click on Topic Link at the side here....then what???Can some one tell me how it is done??
  12. I better patent this as soon as possible before some-one else does!!! What-ever must cause a chemical reaction.Have been told how it works, but I was vaguely interested as I thought this is B...Sh,so one never knows. Perhaps a word of caution of how much you spray.....re around plants that have shallow root systems......may do them in,say it's safe on well established plants, shrubs with a deeper root system.
  13. Gees,I now feel like a Pavlova Now that the Bindies are already there it may be too late,I think like with Bindie spray one has to spray before the plant has the Bindies on them, don't know what to suggest,or whether this works on Bindies.....so cheap give it a go......then you would have to rake up the terrible thorns, other wise look forward to a Bumper crop again next year!!thank goodness none here, bloody curse.
  14. SC there'd be nothing left in the garden!
  15. I don't think it's too much either, but these days we live in such close confines with our neighbours that we unfortunately have to be a bit paranoid When she gets older she'll hopefully be doing agility but I don't think it will really help! It's just so hard to do anything while we are at work. In a nut shell,I mean play bark aren't they laughing, having fun?? And "we" try & stop it,not like it is barking,ie a different sound altogether.Oh the world we live in today.
  16. Boiling water will kill quite a lot, good for those paver areas. Goodo I'll try some now
  17. Praying, thinking of you, I know every time I hear about or see Rat sack I will always think of this thread fore-ever.
  18. Skruffy, what is this you are talking about......mouse rat catches?? Is so we want to know It is D day today,so thinking the worse ...hoping for the best hey these bizzos --- i hope that link works! pretty cheap [if it really does work] but i can't find a manufacturer's website so i can do some deep research --- if you locate the one depicted centrally in your home, it apparently vibrates the buggars out and away from your home i am sooooo hoping that julz is enjoying some happy news... Had a quick look, not cheap, sounds a bit like "tooth fairy" eh. Vibrates....rather a magical claim.Perhaps some-one on here has tried it? Come on Julz.....we are waiting for the goodnews, not thinking other till we hear
  19. I can't recall time wise, days from memory, when it stops raining for 5 mins I will do some dandelions and take note of how long. Mine like it too, must be the smell of soil,I turn my back and a huge hole around a new shrub I've just put in,so i try not involve them in this activity!!!
  20. 1 litre vinegar 1 cup of salt 1 cap liquid dish-wash liquid When I first heard this I didn't believe it......I never have to use insecticides again,I spray between pavers, around fruit trees....on couch,so if it kills couch it would be good for any-thing IMHO!!!! Any-one else have other they would like to share.
  21. Skruffy, what is this you are talking about......mouse rat catches?? Is so we want to know It is D day today,so thinking the worse ...hoping for the best
  22. My sentiments & experience also.SORRY is not what any-one wants to hear.It is extremely hard to find a competant vet that one has confidence in.Tougher still when one is in the middle of a situation and don't know what to do for the best, you are your dogs VOICE,I'd go on my gut feeling and get another opinion.......don't wait the situation is as critical as it can be GO now. Perhaps that is what Julz is doing now???? If not, does anyone recommend a worthy vet in her area?
  23. What can i say,STOP the bleeding.I would have thought vet would have advised cornflour or some remedy, exterior ear shave first,is there another vet near, get their records & go now....this vet doesn't seem to give you any idea what is going on.....if you are stuck with this vet sounds like you have to tell him what to do.I have lost confidence in this vet,if you "wait and see" it may be too late. How is it today?
