  1. I dont like them simply because they get more than enough funding, and always want more. I am also against euthaasia. I have worked closely along side them in the past and dont like their practices in general. I have also called them regarding sick animals and they have wanted to know nothing about it....
  2. Cavalier King Charles, and he is on Black Hawk Holistic and chicken necks with the odd treat, he is only bathed once a month, sometimes more but never more than fortnightly. I usually use an oatmeal based shampoo
  3. I agree with showdog. If there are two of you going to get your new puppy then why can't one of you drive and the other nurse the puppy, or sit in the back and encourage it to sleep on the seat/floor on a towel. Most puppies will just sleep for the trip, especially if in human contact. Yep I would definately nurse the pup, will be wanting lots of reassurance! Remember it will be a big adventure for the pup....
  4. Good morning all, Does anybody know of any common causes relating to an oily coat? And recommendations are highly appreciated.
  5. Think I just found the adult formula....
  6. One more question regarding this product.... As Previously stated my dog absolutely loves this product, and further research has revealed that it is a puppy formula, and that there is no adult formula. Is this correct? Does this simply mean that I need to feed less?? Or is there an adult one that I cant find on the internet.
  7. OK, I am absolutely stoked with this product. I have been feeding my ever so fussy cav on BHH for the past few days, and he has eaten every bit. Getting him to previously eat any other dry was a nightmare.... I am very happy with this product and I am certain that I can already see a change in his coat for the better. Going to order myself a bag for sure and recommend it to all.
  8. I am just curious as to how many DOLer's are from Ballarat?
  9. I worry that he will get out of the yeard, even though it is secure, and I also worry about him missing me, as he is a real mummys boy. It never used to worry me until not long ago....
  10. I think I get more concerned when I leave home for work or uni rather than my dog... Do others experience this also???
  11. Thats fantastic, I cant wait to receive mine today
  12. Thanks so much for the feedback guys. I have a sample of the black hawk food arriving today, so hopefully its just what I need, and I have heard so much positive feedback from you regarding this food. I am really excited to be trying it. How do I go about gettting an allergy test done, guessing Ill have to go to Melbourne for this? I thought it may have just been a seasonal thing with the high pollen counts this year.....
  13. No, It is not for a puppy, for a three year old. So far he seems to be tolerating it ok
  14. All good suggestions thanks guys... I am trying him on a sensitive stomach and skin formula, just in case... The vet has never ever suggested zyrtec to me but I might look into it... He is currently on Maxidex for his severly red eyes and panalog for the skin spots... He just looks so listless when he is having a bad day.
  15. I have just purchased the above mentioned food and was wondering if anybody else had tried it, and what feedback you have.... I liked the fact that it was good for sensitive stomach and skin....
  16. I am wishing that the allergy season would end soon!!!! My cav is suffering terrribly with eye, skin and ear problems. His bum is so red raw from scooting (I thought it was the anal glands till the vet showed me his date) Plus, with him already suffering from dry eye, it makes it so hard to keep his eyes looking clear and healthy, rather they are red and inflamed. Does anybody else have any similar problems? How have you dealt with this? Even changing the diet to a natural one in case it may help a little....
  17. Yeah I have heard there is less poo, and being completely natural it sounds good.... But the artemis is rated better overall. Nutro is Aussie made which is probably another positive aspect also
  18. Which food do you think is better - Artemis or Nutro? Trying to decide which one is best. Any help is appreciated
  19. My little fella is a real talker also, I love it!!!! He slinks around and talks to me all the time
  20. I have checked out the website and there is nobody in Ballarat who stock it, but I found an online company that I am going to buy it through. Much cheaper way rather than driving to Keilor to get it which is the closest for me
  21. I know of some people who put their cat bowls on the bench out of reach so that the cats can still access them. Personally I dont allow my cats up onto benches or food areas though.
  22. I am going to order a bag today over the net as I cant access it here in Ballarat and I am sure my dog will make the final decision Ill see what happens.
  23. This brought a tear to my eye....
  24. I have tried the eagle pack and my dog just did not like it, along with hills, eujanuba etc. The only one he will eat at the moment is Advance small breed turkey and rice. Ill visit the web site and give them a call today and see if I can get some sent to ballarat. Eagle pack is readily available here in Ballarat at Petstock, all flavours and I have had no trouble getting it here Thanks for the help guys
