Dry Food That Does Not Contain Wheat, Corn Or Soy?
Mason_Gibbs replied to Erny's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
It is. I think that, especially once it becomes a more advanced/complete test, it will save a LOT of time and trouble. I like that it is not only something that doesn't take much time, but that it is also something that is non-invasive to the dog and helps to remove doubt. Yes i would like to know more, is there a link? -
Poor thing... If you dont come right you should try the allergy clinic at Murdoch maybe they coukd help

Poor Indy, so the asthma is allergy related ??

Dry Food That Does Not Contain Wheat, Corn Or Soy?
Mason_Gibbs replied to Erny's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Very interesting about the salivery food test, through elimination diets we worked out that my dog cannot have any grains but wheat is the worst, any poultry or beef. He gets itchy and very upset stomach. I had him on all raw but he never thrived, funny enough the ZD caused his stomach to be very upset and i had to go off it. I know use Earthborn Holistic Ocean Fusion and its basically the only kibble he doesnt get itchy on or have a upset stomach on. -

Poo Consistencies Have Changed, Why?
Mason_Gibbs replied to ezzag77's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
I was also going to say it could be the start of food allergies, I would first of all look for one with no grains ( no idea which puppy food is grain free). My dog is allergic to grains, any poultry and Beef. -
AT times he will yes which is why I would rather block it off. I need to see how things go and if when I take Mason out and he is on his own where I will be leaving him. At first when I walk Mason etc he will be left inside in the crate as I wont be more than 1,5hrs at the max if we go to another park etc.

I have 2 garden beds at the back with white pebbles in, Im wondering if I should get 2 of those BUnnings Garden Waste cages to block off those beds to the pup, Im scared he eat/chews/swollows those stones....

Rally we are also entering stated I will just pull out if I feel he is not ready on the day although I must say this weekend his work was good and I am expecting everything to be fine by states

Ebay has some crates which are not badly priced. I did not crate train my dog until he was older, must say that with new pup I am getting in 3 weeks he will sleep in the crate from the first night it makes it so much easier if you need them contained, or if they need to be at the vet etc.

You'd be impressed if you watched some Labs doing retrieving, especially the working lines. Fit, agile, runs full pelt like the Lab in that video. I enjoyed watching the speed and enthusiasm that the Lab in the video had, but didn't enjoy the bitework (though as sandgrubber mentioned, looks like a big game to the Lab as his tail never stops wagging!) And his change of positions obedience work, rather messy with creeping forward so much! I thought the same thing with the change of positions!

I spend about : $50 on dry biscuits and bones, meat etc combined $90 on antihistamines for my dogs allergies $20 on toys ec $30 on treats for training When I enter trials its more a month though as each trial is $10 + - and I used to do 2 or 3 a month so you have to factor that in too... Then my dog sees the dermatologist every 3/4 months which is at least $200/$300 a visit plus all his sprays, immunotherapy etc.. I cant actually even add it up I recon its probably at least $180 just for all his allergy stuff really per month not including food. This month I have also bought him a new bowl and some toys... I suspect he wont be as spoilt when new puppy arrives on 3 Sept
