  9. As it is me that you are refering to in scenario 2, I would like that you at least said what happened honstly. Your daughter took one dog half way round the ring, when it stopped to empty out, she stood holding the dog while you got the pooper scooper and picked up the droppings, then she came back to your canopy, put that dog away and proceeded to get another dog out, when I asked her if she was going to exercise her dogs would she not do it in the ring. I'm sick of people with long coated dogs exercising them in the rings, usually its very well known exhibitors who think they have a god given right to take them in the ring so they don't get wet/muddy feet, then the next poor exhibitor can't get their dogs head of the ground.
  10. I'm sure camping will be allowed this year, as in past years. It is a great place to camp, plenty of big shade trees, lots of powered sites and showers and toilets. Not sure if there is a charge, its a few years since I have camped.
  11. my husband made me one, it was like an open ended box that the trolleys or crates sat in, but was not much good for a station wagon as you could not open the back door. I've seen the ones that you want around the shows, they have a tall post that you fix the trolleys to and can fold flat if you want to open you back door.
  12. No it was handled by a lady and I thought it was older than that.

  17. I agree its a very dangerous intersection, to turn towards Hall Rd, especially if towing a trailer is nigh impossible at times. I don't have a lot of trouble going Dandenong way tho, I usually pull into the side of the road and get a bit of speed up before merging, a lot of cars will move right to let you in. Maybe an extra merging lane for a couple of hundred metres would help?
  18. The last time we stayed there[discovery motel] was sporting terrier weekend, lots of Am Staffs and Staffords, not exactly small dogs.
  19. Discovery Park at Carrum Downs is fantastic, not only dog friendly rooms but also a fenced area where you can exercise your dogs of lead.
  20. Sounds great, another country show close to home!

  22. Moving these shows are not about making money, in most cases the dog clubs are being forced of grounds that we have used for years by uncaring councils. At Shepparton we were forced to move because the council wanted us to pay $1100 per show for the grass area and another $700 for a room for the judges lunches ect and we would not be guaranteed the dates that we needed. So as you can see no dog club could afford those sort of fees. All dog clubs would be trying to make a profit from their shows but with the increased expenses would be happy to break even. I believe that all committee should be allowed to show at their shows, what does it say about the judges if they can't.
