I usually don't show when the temp is forecast over 35 for our and dogs comfort. But it is an individual thing as you know what your dogs can handle,
-
I was told the new lights are not in operation yet, so I presume the shows would be on the back outside rings.
-
Any results out there???
-
More like the sensible people stayed home.
I'm with you. No one in their right mind would show today!

Its never going to change if a judge judges the dogs they will continue to do so - if a judge puts up for favors they will continue to do so - the only way you can not be affected by it is to not give those 'facey' judges an entry. If I know who will win regardless of what they take in the ring then I don't waste my time, energy or money anymore.
to this and Pav Lova.
I agree and find this is the best way to handle it.
-
What about the full page ads in Dog news and other similar publications that all judges see. How can you stop people's photos in those considering they are paying a fortune for their ad. Yes I certainly believe there is a lot of face judging but have learnt to live with it as apart of dog showing.

Thanks for the advice, I will try the damp washer & comb first.
-
My puppy does this, lays a fresh one and then turns around and eats it
I end up on a turd chase trying to get it from her mouth before she eats it all. It's MINGING!!!!!!!!!! Let me know if you find something that works.
I have tried different things too but my 15 year old still eats poo from time to time. Certainly hasn't shortened her life span.lol

My dog seems to develop a constant build up of sleep & junk near his eyes and if you try to pull it off it causes him some discomfort and then it looks sore around the area. Any ideas on how to remove this without stressing out the dog.

I love watching the Springers :) and have to admit can't go passed a nice moving afghan :)
Apart from my own breed of course (but not all of them  )

I so agree with you too. :)

BIS Border Collie just read on f/b
-
Heard it has been wet there from f/b & BIG 2 was a foxie (Prices)
-
I have been guilty of sending entries too late but realize the club officials are volunteers and are entitled to close the entries any time after the published date. Anyone who has been involved in organising a show know how much work it is.
-
Thanks for the information.
-
Was having a conversation today with someone who told me you needed 10 groups or 1 best in show to gain a supreme title. I thought it was 3 BIS's. Can someone fill me in. Thanks,
-
Congrats ....it is a double achievement for you as a breeder & exhibitor.
-
Thanks will try 5 weeks..
-
Is there a time eg 5 weeks, that is considered the best when scanning your bitch in whelp to either confirm she is in pup and to get an idea about how many she may have?
-
Fantastic for you and your boy. A huge congratulations.
