My apologies for being late this week. There's nothing my dogs love more than a taped up cardboard box full of different things.  The mess isn't pretty but I figure better than a table leg!  This box was full of newspaper scrunched around a small dydrated treats, some dog chews and stuffed kongs at the bottom.   Funnily enough the Frenchie is like a shredding machine with cardboard.  She'll rip chunks out faster than the BT could hope to do!  The before photo kinda makes me think it's what it might look like if they just caught an antelope lol

I went to the uni website and read the original article. There's more than what was quoted above and it didn't just relate to meat!

Dr le Chevoir said the bacteria Campylobacter was now considered a triggering agent in up to 40 per cent of GBS patients, which is present in undercooked chicken, unpasteurised milk products and contaminated water. 

 

The team studied 27 dogs with symptoms of APN and 47 dogs without, examining physical symptoms and interviewing the owners about recent behaviours and diet; focusing on the consumption of raw chicken meat. 

I can only compare to a border terrier but my dogs coat is ready for stripping if I can pull the longer hairs out easily. If you can do this it would pay to start practicing a little bit at a time now to desensitize her, rather than a full groom at the groomer which leave them feeling uncomfortable because it's all done it once. It's best not to bathe them after a groom for at least a few days because their skin is sensitive and washing can irritate it.

Assuming he's fully papered and entire you would be better off having someone look over him for structural faults and to assess him against the standards. Did his breeder show? Are they able to help you?

 

Edited to say he looks like a real cutie! I've seen so many Bullmastiff recently with huge jowels and hanging skin.

If there is a short period of time she is expected to be in a crate can you leave her with a stuffed kong or a safe chew item so she's occupied and not just wanting out?

@BDJ yes I normally offer them a bit of everything. Never avocado or onion though.

 

I used to chop it and freeze it but it defrosts really poorly and never got eaten so I just suck it up and make it fresh twice a week.

 

One thing I found is the younger the bird when you start offering new foods the more likely they are eat a wide range of food later (probably much like kids lol). But if they don't eat things straight away just keep offering it.

 

I have found canaries and budgies seem to prefer seeded grasses but they still pick through what the parrots are eating. Off topic over and out...

Thanks guys. @persephone I might get four days out of that amount? I separate it into takeaway containers and use one each day. If I end up with extra I take leftovers in for a girl at work and she gives it to her birds. 

I'm getting in early this week for once! 

 

I chopped up my birds food today and thought I'd keep it separated for a colourful photo. The parrots go straight for the fresh stuff, the budgies go for the seeded grasses. I'm just having a coffee lol

 

 

Hi @Vlkm, sorry I can't help with trainers or price but wanted to mention your dog may also be showing fear or frustration with his behaviour. I've linked an article you might want to read whilst looking around for a good positive based behaviorist? The series of magazines have great articles on reactivity so it's worth doing a few searches.

 

First thing you need to do to help make a change is stop putting him in situations where he feels he needs to react this way. He would have begun by showing subtle behaviour he wasn't happy with what was going on around him but the more this behaviour is missed or ignored the more it escalates. I'm glad you're seeking help and I wish you the best of luck.
