Yeh thats what made me all teary seeing her on the page, dont get me wrong I love them all but seeing such a young sweet natured dog like a cav just dumped in there for no reason is shocking ......gentlest souls they are and are used and abused in the puppy trade far to much

They do not desex them prior to leaving. Hence why some animals are only $37.......and I posted this in the rescue thread and the people who put up the hawkesbury notices have pretty much confirmed that they do not desex, people are now trying to raise money to get her out of there and into rescue

I just rang hawkesbury to see what procedures they take to find good homes, they told me they do not desex the dogs at all...... it is pretty much the first person to put their name down and come in with the cash. not so much in those words I just said it briefly. The cav girl will go undesexed lifetime registered , microchipped etc but not desexed She will most probly get a save with a rescue but they still need to change their policies that is disgusting that anyone can walk in with a sob story and walk out with a new puppy farm dog

I was just searching through the hawkesbury pound list and there is a beautiful young cavalier female in there only 1.5years old. Does anyone think there is a rescue that would take her? I know this pound doesnt desex before sale I would hate to see her becoming a "cavoodle" breeding machine... $230 is a bargain mill dog...it breaks my heart as I have read horror stories about people getting their farm dogs from shelters for cheap like this. Although these kids did not abuse or torture these animals. What they did wasn't good but they didn't knowingly abuse or toture them. You don't call dragging dogs around by their legs abuse??? Really? Separating 2 day old kittens from their mother and attepting to sell them is not abuse??? Sure about that? If an ADULT was seen doing these things everyone would be in uproar..... seen as these girls got banned previously they knew what they were doing so the issue about not knowing right from wrong and them only being kids doesn't even come into this equation

If we are so horrible then why are you here??? I am sorry about this venting but I am sick of people joining KNOWING to well what it is like here and how passionate people on here about their dogs and that there are some VERY experienced people on here and some members that have been here since the beginning and then chuck a hissy and insult everyone.. No we do not think we are royalty but people who have more experience then you and have been members FOR A VERY LONG TIME deserve more respect then what they are given. I am new myself only been here since May but I have not started a fight with anyone since being here or got into a heated argument throwing insults around. I am not even fighting with you right now I am stating my opinion about the respect level given to founding members.. Rant finished sorry :)

I agree with this, nobody knows the O.P in person nor have the seen the dog so assumption making and blame passing etc is not necessary and I agree fighting with long term members after only being a member for less then 2 months and only having accumulated 12 posts.....* sigh*... I am not even going to go there. I just hope that the O.P can get everything worked out.

My cousin has a kelpie x husky that is a resource guarder.... food, bedding, toys pretty much anything she forms an attachment to, she is a rescue dog from hawkesbury pound. She gets quite aggressive with it , and it is quite scary I love dogs but I refuse to go near her because I would not like to be bitten, this may be dog behaviour but it is not acceptable she has bitten my cousins husband on the arm quite badly he needed stitches and this was just him trying to get their tv remote off her bed :/ they did not think much of it when they first bought her home and put it down to being " normal behaviour"

Yet despite this knowledge, you insist the dog's behaviour is normal while in the same breath, stating that bull arabs are unfairly targetted- you see where I'm going with this? Anyway, moving on.. Yet complain about other people exercising caution around certain breeds of dog that you've already are "normally" expected to display dangerous levels of dog agrgression? Righto. I'm afraid I'm a little confused here, possibly because of all the backpedaling. Didn't you say in an earlier post.. And I'm done. As an aside, trying to guilt the OP over her feelings is in very poor form. It's a hard enough decision to make without armchair experts weighing in and implying that the OP somehow brought it on herself Well said

Congratulations!! This is just another great example of why people should also consider the option of getting a rescue dog, there is some great potential to found you just have to work for it instead of expecting top results but not wanting to be in the effort Again so happy for you and your pooch!! :thumbsup:

Just a question :) are you a registered breeder??? What breed are we talking about because different breeds will need different health guarantees if you decide to go into things like genetic health etc

Lets hope it is not going to be the case when these girls have kids themselves...... and judging by the way they are being raised with no discipline or boundaries....I say that would be sometime in the next 5-7years
