Well done Myzchev & Kizzy (and Nic F) .
-
it sure does Ptolomy - hmmmmm and then you seem to spend the next umpteen months having other things break down .
-
Great round TerraNik - other than squishing the poor Jedi . Some lovely neat handling and some great ring work. Jedi is certainly doing very well .
-
Well done Piper and Jazz . Some lovely duck work this morning and even when the ducks decided to make an escape out of the arena you still held it together .
-
Bad luck huski. I also hate very much being rushed into the ring although I think I am getting better at it now. Least you have the first trial nerves out the way, its always a bugger even when your on subsequent and think you have it all under control . All the best for the next trial .

you guys are all way to honest - I thought about posting something in here because I know I have been bad for negativity in the past but I am trying to change that now . I know I am more negative over my dog training when other things in my life are having an influence. As for how to change it I think it was the combination of negative and positive that made me flick the switch. It took having a very bad session on video and seeing what difference it made when my attitude wasn't negative to how the dog responded and then having a run of brilliant sessions - the only difference was my approach. When I was feeling overly negative my handling went to bits and its a session I now want to disown totally .

just go gate crash a litter of pups RubyStar .
-
Kenz is just over 2 and I am itchy for another one and she is still only half trained. Have told myself I'll have to wait until she is at least 4 by which time Ness will be well and truely ready to retire at 12 .
-
your very very bad Tiggy. I am still managing to resist the temptation to spend any more money .
-
Hahah yeah I think she was 16 weeks in that video from memory. I love my ones of her at 12 weeks - very cute. Then they grow big and feral .
-
Tiggy I was naughty and impatient and lured it a few times first and Ptolomy told me off because I didn't let the dog think for itself. I was to quick to jump in and lure the dog rather than wait after having lured it a few times. ETA. The final product http://www.youtube.com/user/ness#p/u/76/Wrck3j4zc28 Kenzie learning - http://www.youtube.com/user/ness#p/u/130/x-4V8GL60mM Not the best example but she was cute anyway .
-
Yeah have done that as well. Kenz is blessed with drop dead lovely fronts (well so long as I don't start rewarding her wrongly) .
-
Here you go not the clearest video but its me demoing the two food game/two toy game with Kenz. http://www.youtube.com/user/ness#p/u/85/8qnpH4PYl3o For the drop version you would throw the food and as the dog is racing back to you ask them to drop. Much easier with food then it is with the toy version. And a video of me using it to work on front presents: http://www.youtube.com/user/ness#p/u/12/SNIaUhK2NEA

Tiggy your very very bad.

RubyStar I know what your saying - I took two buses not showing up and standing at the bus stop for 45 minutes as a sign that I was destined to work from home today .
-
well I don't have 6 to walk at one time on-lead . Although 2 dogs on 5ft leads both wanting to eat the garbage truck or street sweeper is plenty .
-
Ptolomy - I assumed Tiggy was talking about for walking - hmmm are we talking for trialling or walking.
-
now why would I laugh Tiggy. My view is I tend to find 4ft to short but like you find the 6ft to long but it depends what you want them for. My normal ones are black dog smart leads so 1.5m which I guess is 5ft .
-
I was looking at that tug lead you bought and considering getting another one for Kenz in purple and black but she doesn't need another one yet .
-
tiggy so did you end up ordering your K9Pro leads speaking of leads .
-
Ptolomy you can never have enough special green leads when you have that many tollers - besides whats one more .
-
Yep I remember FM. Me and my anti-social BCs .
-
Ptolomy could you move anywhere other than the Southern River kennel area with that many kids and given how much time you seem to spend at the K9 .
-
One can apparently never have enough tollers .
-
No problems Ptolomy anytime . As for fate - a certain little black and white Winpara dog was born two days before I badly sprained my ankle and my parents broke the news to me the day Ness got her JDM title about a week later that I could get another pup if I wanted. 8 weeks later I had my little WA bundle .
