  1. Everyone is getting too old and cynical these days. It's a sign of the times.
  2. I thought the usual recovery time was 6 weeks even without surgery. In fact I thought it may take even longer with conservative treatment. There was a Vizla near that went through the conservative treatment i.e. no surgery and it took quite a while . They kept the dog crated a lot of the time but in the end it worked perfectly.

  15. Is Local Council obliged to inform complainants exactly what action they took in relation to regulatory breaches. Like if the offending dogs owners were fined, how much were they fined or if the dog has been declared a nuisance or menacing dog. I'm fairly sure they have to inform all parties if the dog has been declared a Dangerous Dog but otherwise they just say " the appropriate regulatory action has been taken". Apparently one has to get their lawyer to apply under Freedom of Information( GIPA) and that also is likely to be unsuccessful.

  21. In the old days where I live some of the old timers used to send their dogs into the harbour. When they were wet they would lather them up with soap. Then the dogs were sent back into the water again to rinse off. Sadly the suburb is now so gentrified you would never see anything like that happen here.
  22. Sydney Harbour is full of bull sharks. A couple of dogs have been attacked by sharks here over the years. Years ago I used to let the dogs swim in the harbour but not anymore.
