No they can't do that to me ;)
Jasper has only been on Nutro Large Breed L & R for 4 weeks now and hes the healthiest hes ever been and finally put on the 3 kilos he needed to gain.
Is the Adult L & R the same as the large breed? would I need to feed more? I have so much trouble keeping weight on him and with all his digestive issue's(can't have chicken, beef, or corn or he'll clear the room let not to mention what my backyard looks like  ) its very hard to find a food that will agree with him.
You can feed the same amount of Lamb and Rice as the large breed,i alternate between the 2,depending on what i've got in.
-
The regular Adult Lamb and Rice is still available, maybe switch to that for the time being till they sort out the Large breed Lamb & Rice
I know that's what i'll be doing!When you're on a good thing,stick to it

for those that may be interested i have ordered an orbee ball and a stuff and fetch thing from here
http://www.airdogs.com.au/xcart/home.php?cat=255
The stuff and fetch is designed to place treats in and throw and get the dog to retreive it and when they bring it to you ,you can give them a treat from it.Thought it might help with the retreiving and wanting to give it to you,as you open it and reward.Think it might help that it's got thes ent of the treats coming through so might entice the dog to get it rather than a ball
-
Thankyou everyone for your thoughts.
I am interested in getting them to play first, mainly for evercise at this stage as we have moved to a smaller block and it's a very steep backyard so they don't get a lot of exercise apart from a walk, with the possibility of using it in training in the future
I hope this clears things up
thanks again

thankyou,appreciate any tips!
Should i get a specially designed dog ball(orbee?) or start off with a tennis ball?
-
Hi,
i own 2 german shepherds who basically have low to no play drive. One will occasionally fetch a ball and bring it back but loses interest quickly
Just wondering how to go about getting a dog interested in play with things likes balls
thanks

I had trouble finding a qood quality agitation collar in Australia. I ended up buying mine from Canine Outfitters in the US and I found the quality to be outstanding. I got the 2" and I couldn't be more pleased with the feel and quality of the collar.
just had a look at there website and i like the look of the leather choke collars

I am trying them out and got my first order delivered on Tuesday. I am quite happy with the quality of the product I got and I found the price quite reasonable.
Only thing I wasn't happy with was that the delivery guy didn't turn up till after 11 o'clock at night! Not fun when you are repackaging and stocking the freezer until well after midnight when you have to be up at 5am the next day.
thats what happened when i was in Dubbo!I think it was actually later than that, they did ring and let me know they were running late but it was still a pain,we were at the end of there run to country NSW,don't think they still go there now though, only to Orange
-
the delivery was included in the price... i highly reccomend them
on the info page on the website it says delivery fee of $4.40 applies to all orders but maybe if you spend a certain ammount they don't charge it
-
Please come back and give us feedback!
no worries, looking forward to trying it.I told them i won't sell a product unless i can 100% recommend it so they said they'll send it out to try first
-
I might try some of there brisket bones, let me know if you ring them and when they come to Wollongong

I am getting a deep freezer on the weekend and want to buy some meat/bones/etc in bulk for the dogs. I don't usually buy dog grade mince as I find its usually crap and full of odd looking bits and pieces that make me feel ill So I'm just wondering if anyone has bought the mince or bones from this company and what they thought.
Hi he'smy hero,
parcel is waiting at the front door
Anyway,i used these guys when i was in Dubbo, they came out there a few times i think, wasn't over wrapped in there products but that was probably 18 months or so ago.
I've been getting chicken carcasses and mince from South Coast chickens since i'vevbeen here, really good quality and cheap.Box of carcasses which had over 40 carcasses in it was only $6 and the mince is good quality and the same price for a big box
Thanks Julie
Where abouts is South Coast chickens? That's a whole lot cheaper then what I'm getting them for now!!
GDG- Is delivery expenso or is it included in the price? I may get some beef mince and bones off them.
ETA- A reply
It's 136 Church St Wollongong,i'm sure they said they have box's chicken necks as well
While you're there try there chicken schnitzel if you eat chicken, yummy!!

I've sent them an email and they're sending me out one to try ,i sell other dog related products so will see what they're like and may start selling them if i think they're ok

bleach can damage some baths. It depends on what they are made from.
that's what i heard as well,i think it can damage the internal parts in the pump as well

My GSD has been an outside dog most of his life, he is a bit unsettled in the house. Now that I am not working I am home during the day and want him to spend more time inside. One thing I have noticed is his doggy smell, I have never really noticed it before. How often can I hydro bath him? And I will be using a drive through one as I don't have access to any other.
I usually do my 2 gsd's about once a month. You could try using a doggy deoderant between times if he still gets to smelly

Petway Supergroom shampoo is a nice musky pink colour smells yummy

I too had one of my dogs on Science Diet Lg Breed Puppy but didn't see any difference after going through the lg bag.
If you can get it Nutro makes a lg breed range which contain Glucosamine and chondroitin for healthy joints.
Both my german shepherds are on the lamb and rice lg breed and have never looked better, one used to have a skin problem before we got onto Nutro and she used to have a smell about her all the time, now that smell has gone and so too has her itchiness
good luck

i think it must depend on the Lenards (they are all franchises) - coz the 2 i use (homebush rhodes and northbridge) both just mince carcasses for the pet mince - exactly the same as the bag of bones.
I always check exactly whats in it when i change supplier!
probably does depend on the owner as a few times i have brought the pet mince from Leonards it seemed really gluggy and had parsley etc through some of it
-
I've recently brought the autofill model however i brought it from Petbarn and when it was delivered turns out it was 2 years old so they had had it in stock all that time.
When i contacted Hydrobaths Aust to ask a question (i wanted to buy a stand for it and wanted to make sure the stands now fitted a 2 year old model)to see if they had changed at all in that time Jose was as shocked as i was and obviously it was nothing to do with him but he gave me the full warranty from date of purchase. He was very good and my gripe was with Petbarn, not the manufacturer.
Hydrobath works well, i would probably opt with having a heater in the wash tank as well ,once i transfer the water from the sealed tank to the wash tank it does tend to cool off quickly, especially if you're doing a really through wash.
Check out the Double K Airmax dryer from Clipperworld,i've got one and it's great value for money
Good luck
