  1. I have sent you a pm Karmar, Trish
  2. Yes it is available in SA, both the Coprice and working dog Coprice. Trish
  3. My rescue greyhound suffered an attack of pancreatitus last January, I have no idea what brought it on, her diet had not changed at all. My husband, who she adored, was in hospital fighting cancer, and I often wonder if it was stress. Anyway she is now on a diet of Hills I/D dry and tinned food, gradually over time I have added vegies, some rice now and again, and cooked roo meat, which I still drain all the liquid from, just in case there is a bit of fat in there. She has regained all her lost weight, and in fact I have to be careful that she doesn't put on too much weight. I would be interested in the lentil diet too and a bit of variety for her, but I would be cutting out the chicken frames if I were you. Trish
  4. Canine missing link is now available again, it is labelled as All-Vegetarian formula for all breeds of dogs and cats. It has a sticker across the bottom of the pack that says 'Australian Missing Link Canine Formula. I am so glad to have found it, because nothing else I tried has been as good. Trish
  5. Cheap as Chips have one that is only $40, it seems very sturdy. I bought one for my elderly whippet to use to get onto the bed. It folds into a very compact unit, you would have to check it for strength for labs, but it does seem pretty strong. I glued that non stick stuff that you use for cupboards etc onto it to make it non-slip. A helpful guy at CC undid it for me to check the strength, maybe someone would do the same for you. Trish
  6. I have been using the Greenpet product, but found it not as good as ML. Trish
  7. I think Canine Missing Link is still unavailable in Australia, if it is available I would love to hear where I can purchase some. I have never heard of the other product, so I cannot give you any information on the comparison of the 2, sorry. Trish
  8. There is an ingredient in ML that Aquis have decided is not to be allowed into this country. I heard that the manufacturers were going to delete that ingredient, but it has not happened yet obviously. I tried the Greenpet product, but found it nowhere as good as ML. I don't know the difference between the human variety and the dog variety, so have not been game to try it with my dogs. I miss ML, it was a very, very good product, and helped so much with shedding. Trish
  9. I use Eagle pack for my whippets, and am presently giving it to my rescue greyhound Ebony, but her coat is nowhere near as good as it looked on Coprice, then it was so shiny and silky, so I will be changing back to that for her. Trish
  10. I have been using it for my 12 and 10 year old whippets as EP has such a good name, but I have not been particularly happy with it, and was wondering if anyone else had good results. I use EP holisitic for my younger whip, and am unsure as to whether to go back to that or seek out another senior food. Trish
  11. Thanks I will go and check out my local health food shop. Trish
  12. Hi WSM, is the Vegetarian formula for dogs or is it for people, but suitable for dogs ? Trish
  13. Thanks GG, , the ingredient that they are objecting to and refusing entry has been removed, so that ML can be sold in the UK, I wish they'd hurry up and let it back into Australia. Trish
  14. Does anyone know if Missing Link is available yet ? I have tried a few other products, but nothing is as good as ML in my opinion. Trish
  15. I was just wondering if anyone has heard any more information about the availability of Missing Link. Trish
  16. There is just one ingredient in Missing LInk that AQIS will not let into Australia, apparently the same thing was happening in the UK, so they are endeavouring to have that ingredient ommitted and then it will be let into the UK, so heres hoping that the same thing happens here in Australia. Trish
  17. I, too have fed my dogs Missing Link for years, and because of the unavailability I am trying Greenpet Supplement for Dogs and Cats, I have not been using it long enough to form an opinion, but I believe others on here use it. Trish
  18. Have you just tried giving him a biscuit or something similar just before you go to bed, the theory being that the tummy gets too empty and the digestive juices cause the upset. My whippet suffered from this problem randomly, it might be once a week, twice a week, or maybe once a month, I tried all sorts of things, and then tried giving her something to eat last thing at night, so that there is something in the tummy, and have not had another episode for about 2 years now. Good luck, Trish
  19. Yes........ all part of the glorious job of dog grooming....................... Trish
  20. My Vet has just suggested I get some doggles or similar for Ebony, my grey who has Pannus, she said she had a dog in for a consult the other day, and it had a different brand on, they were quite flat and fitted really well. I will try to find them, but think it will be hard to get something to fit my girls skinny head. :D If anyone knows which ones will fit a grey, I would love to hear about them. Trish
  21. I was told that Uncle Albers was good for greyhounds as it has more oils than most other dry foods.........anyone had any experience, I haven't tried it yet. Trish
  22. Aziah thats the Missing Link, I haven't yet tried the Greenpet, but I will. Trish
  23. Less shedding too................. Trish
  24. I have been using Missing LInk for years, until it became unavailable, where is the best place to purchase the Greenpet from? I will try that. Thanks, Trish
  25. I have always been under the impression that the white of the egg destroys the biotin in the body, and should only be given to dogs if it is lightly cooked, raw yolks are fine................am I misinformed? Trish
