  1. Ok I got sucked in . Can I please have 2 copies for me please.... if I'm not too late.... SnT - I would LOVE to do pick up!
  2. Hey SnT - If you accept pick ups if PME is in, I can do a pick up via your place (or at a trial/ show if you are going to one soon) and deliver to her. That way I may be able to convince someone for a 'watch' of the DVD at some stage Might be too much handling, but it may save $6.00 in postage . Let me know if you are heading down to KCC or anything anytime soon
  3. He's given her the 'ok' for small amounts of treat and normal dry - so I might try the proplan sensitive. She's been able to hold down that natures gift no worries Thanks for that becks
  4. LOL Jules - she's currently on 4C per day and still not gaining any weight, so I'm dubious as to whether more will help her put the weight on
  5. Hi guys, One of my girls has been eating a diet of mainly I/D for the past few months. She's going really well - but she has about another 1 - 1.5mths left on this diet. Due to it's nutritional value, she's lost a bit of weight and I'd like to bulk her up again, but am not sure how to do it/ what to feed her for a dog on such a bland diet... any thoughts/ ideas?! she can now eat small amounts of normal food (black hawk) and also small amounts of raw meat/ tinned food etc, so her tummy is definitely feeling better
  6. Oh shite Jules! I was having everything crossed for better news . Good news is she is responding well to the diet, so lets hope that she continues to maintain that. I agree!
  7. Thanks everyone for your responses Seems like a Bunnings trip is on the list of things to do! Where did everyone get their heat lamps from?! I've never seen them before . What about heating pads?! thanks
  8. Just a question about what you use. It's been nearly 3 years since our first litter and when we had that litter I borrowed one from my breeder. I think hers will be in use when our litter is due and given that I'll probably be having a few litters next year I think it's time to get my own so did you buy yours, make yours, use a clam shell?!!? If you made it - what are the dimensions etc? What do you use for heating (heating pad, heat lamps etc?!)? I might be able to get a friend to make for me. I know that my breeders one was heated in itself, but I found that Kinta got quite hot in there - is it possible to get one where it's 1/2 heated so the bitch doesn't overheat but will stay with her puppies?! Any advice, recommendations or tips are greatly appreciated :D
  9. Well done Angelsun . You broke my record Mr Leo picked up the Neuter in Show on the Friday and Saturday at Albury - which made it 5 Neuter in Shows from 5 All breeds Neuter shows :D This now places Leo at the 1/2 way mark! Yee Har! Just wish they got points for beating the dogs at the 'in show' level rather than just the breed... then my boy would already be there!
  10. awesome news!! Thanks for letting me know about Kilmore too!! It's on the same day as Croydon Agility, but I think Leo will still have to enter the neuter show!
  11. Nope - I think kids at a trial are fine.... afterall - everyone has family commitments etc
  12. I love to hear from my puppy buyers- but then I email them regularly too to see how things are going
  13. Oh no!! Should not have read this at work Run free little Emma. She's a beautiful girl and SO lucky to have found you and Kenzie. Such a stroke of luck that she found you when life got tough and that she had such a wonderful 3.5 years with you. What a great last week she had. Still smiling away and interacting with all the school kids. I'm glad I got to see her again one last time. She loved you more than words can say - you could see it in her eyes every time she looked at you I'll miss seeing Emma around. I'm sure I'll see you around the ropes and until then I'm sending you mega big hugs. Loosing any dog is hard, but loosing one so special is almost impossible.
  14. yep KC - I'll be at Moorrabbin so would love to see it . Would everyone recommend the Mesh coat or the actual dog coat? Sounds like they all have great reviews and yup Tassie I agree - for an older dog, even if they don't work injury wise I think they would be great as a warm up/ warm down coat as well as for the golden oldies . tassie - I can't view your pic It says I don't have access Would love to know where people source it from - the WA supplier is out of stock, the NZ one seems pretty pricey and if shipping is not too bad, it seems buying from the UK is significantly cheaper. Lucky for me my brother lives there so I could ship to his place, then get him to post as that may work out cheaper (some advertise free shipping to UK)....
  15. Yup RS Ness is the one that got me onto them
  16. Anyone used them or has had any experience with them?? http://www.backontrack-uk.co.uk/dog-products3.htm Supposed to help alleviate muscle soreness and keep muscles warm..... More info: http://www.backontrack-uk.co.uk/index.htm
  17. Jules I'm so so sorry to hear about Brock. He's a beautiful boy and life is just bit fair sometimes! Sending hugs your way.
  18. Thanks - this is exactly what we are hoping to do as well so I will look more into this Not an ongoing issue. She's always been perfectly healthy and had a fairly stoic stomach for 2 years (can eat anything) what I mean by on again / off again diahorrea is say over the past month or so - one day of diahorrea out of every 2 weeks, so nothing that really raised concern until she crapped out this bloody stools. Ongoing condition for me means continuous and unable to get the dog better. I would be fairly surprised if this dog is allergic to something because the rest of her looks 110% healthy, not to mention, I would have always expected her to have resistance to foods as a pup, not a 2.5 year old dog. Thanks SammieS - it IS possible that this could have happened, however the dog doesn't live with me so I can't be sure. However I'm fairly certain that my mum buys only the freshest meats seeing as she will buy Zara meats when she buys her own foods and freezes it almost immediately. BUT it is possible.... I will keep this in mind.. thank you . BTW - what do you give Asti to keep her teeth clean??
  19. Ask the vet not me . I don't want to change her diet as I'm happy with it and she's not had an issue before. I think because of the severity of her dihorrea he wants to give her stomach a really good rest and the ability to build up 'good' rather than only getting a bit better and then having a tummy upset again. I think also because she has had the runs on and off for the last few months. So a change of diet to something bland, some meds and some AB's to make sure everything is clear and that the inflammation settles down. I hate the I/D stuff. It's basically just cereal and I think it's cr@p food. But I agree with the vet's sentiment of feeding her a bland diet to help settle her insides down before returning to normal. I think I like the Royal Canin high digestibility better... might try that...
  20. Thanks for all of your suggestions. I'm not much of a fan of Hills either, however I do want to follow as the vet has suggested as Zara has been on her current diet (Raw and Artemis) her whole life with no issues, so I doubt it is a continual diet issue rather than a rather nasty bug that has played havoc with her. I want to keep her on a bland diet for some time and I don't want to feed her 'homecooked' stuff as I want to ensure she is getting a balanced meal. So again - I ask the question if anyone has any suggestions of foods similar to Hills i/d specifically designed for sensitive stomachs, not food designed for allergies etc. I want to feed her a bland diet for the next few months. I know what I will switch her on to once her belly has had a rest.
  21. Hi All, Just been off the phone to my vets as one of our kids has had a bit of an upset belly. We actually took her in to have her hips scored and she had loose, bloody stools all over the table ! Anyway vet says results came back all normal but he thinks it's a bit of an upset tummy that has been going on for a while (dog doesn't live with me). She's on some AB's and also some meds to help reduce any inflammation in the gut. He's recommended a bland diet for the next 6mths. His recommendation is i/d which is fine, but it's out of stock at the moment. Can anyone tell me the difference between i/d and sensitive stomach?? Also - if anyone has had their dogs on a sensitive stomach diet for some time, how did they go when you transitioned them back to their normal foods? Zara has always been raised on a mix of BARF and Artemis, a mix that I'm very happy with and seeing as she'll be bred from in the future I want to make sure she's on the best diet to raise a litter, and I don't think a sensitive tummy food would be! Any advice would be greatly appreciated Have never had to deal with anything like this before as all my kids have always had fairly stoic stomachs! Thanks!
  22. WOO HOOOO Go Ptolomy and Bedazzled on your UDX pass!!!! You guys are amazing Now - can you just get Scoota or Brooky to have a chat to Leo about how UD is all done please
  23. Am after some opinions... my 12mth old bitch will be the third entire girl I have had. Both oft other girls have come into season with no fanfare- one at 9 mths and her daughter at 14mths. One day they are not in and the next they are. Full season to follow. My 12 mth girl however about 3 weeks ago now had some brownish discharge for one day and then nothing. 2 wks later some more brownish dischare, slightly less thick in consistency, then nothing. Vulva only slightly enlarged, but not as you would expect from a girl in season. Little or no interest from the boys... Occasional sniffing but that's it... I assume she is close to coming in- am not overly worried but just wondering if others have had similar experiences???
  24. Are Wiki and Rory siblings?!!? How old are they both now?! 15mths?
