  1. The segment in which we appeared on T.G.S.E. can now be viewed on our website. http://www.sheepherdingqueensland.com/ click on enter our site, click on dogs in action.
  2. We are on the Great South East, Sat 15 June, Ch 72, 11.30- midday. CU :) :D
  3. Thanks, Jed :D There are some pure bred herding dogs (Borders, Shelties and Finnish Lappies) on the programme as well as dogs from Australian Working Dog Rescue and working kelpies. The TV producer has dogs from AWDRI and she was the person who offered to get us some air time on the Great South East, having visited us here late 2012 with her dogs. Thanks HEAPS, Ash, Liz, Chris, AND not forgetting, Al. Your support is very much appreciated, and hope we can reciprocate. :)
  4. Further to my earlier post, we will be on the Great South East, which is being broadcast Australia wide on Ch. 72 (digital which should be available to all) on Saturday 15 June 11.30 am- midday. The response to the segment which was shown here in QLD on Sunday evening was, to say the very least, overwhelming. :) We hope that the segment, filmed here, will also help raise the awareness of another "sport" available here in Aus. to herding dog breeds, particularly, sheepdogs, who include kelpies, border collies and shelties. Thanks heaps to the crew from G.S.E. and Queensland Weekender who "made this happen". A special mention should also be made to Australian Working Dog Rescue.
  5. It would appear that programme on the Great South East will on Sat 15 June 11.30am-12.00pm on 72/Prime in the ACT so hopefully the same in N.S.W. and Vic
  6. Thanks, we were obviously given the wrong information from the TV presenter and producer.!!. :)
  7. Thanks, Rosetta, we are pretty proud of our facility. Generally speaking, on properties in the outback, pups can be introduced to sheep at an earlier age, but we wait until the pup has had it's last vaccination, as you can appreciate, which Sade had before she first came out. At that age we let the pups do their thing whilst protecting them from the sheep. Once the pup is older then they are taught various "commands". Sade has the natural instinct to work and had us all in fits of laughter when she first came out at exactly 3 months old as she showed so much ability. As you no doubt know Lappies were originally bred to work reindeer.
  8. The miniature border collies.?? Swamped with enquiries.
  9. In association with Australian Working Dog Rescue we are on The Great South East tonight on Ch 7. at 5.30 pm here in QLD, to be followed by the same programme on Ch. 72 on 15 June which should be broadcast Australia wide. We are hoping the segment will also appear on yahoo7. Apologies for late notice. :)

  12. Sheila Marchant- Master Dog Breeder of the Year - ShesaLikeableBiBear :)
  13. Thanks. :) When I had to put in a submission in response to the nomination I must admit that I did place an emphasis on the bi-blacks and the fact that we had bred the first bi-champion in the conformation ring here in QLD and only the 4th in Australia.
  14. THANKS HEAPS, will call you in the morning after I have come back to earth
