  1. Another armchair "viewer" here - very grateful to those who are posting results - THANK YOU!! (Whoever thought Dog Shows would be such a great spectator sport, ROFL...) ETA: Wonder why this isn't being televised!!
  2. Also you should fill out two entry forms one for 1A Baby Puppy Bitch and one for Sweepstakes. Also check whether the show you are entering has online entries. They are SOOOO much easier! And good luck with your puppy!
  3. ETA: 3rd post down Hope this works OK: http://www.dolforums...x-erskine-park/
  4. There are butchers and there are butchers! I stopped buying from my local one years ago after observing some very unhygenic handling of products.
  5. As title says. I buy the small amount of meat I eat from the Supermarket and have no idea where to buy the above. Would appreciate any suggestions please. Thanks in advance!
  6. Thanks heaps! Photos by Barbara Kilworth are up on Facebook http://www.facebook....&type=1 DOTY = Borzoi RU = Afghan POTY = Mini Smooth Dachie RU = Bernese Mountain Dog
  7. Thanks SwaY, will send her your link. She is taking the little one back to the vet as I type, thinks he may have more wrong with him, but we have all fingers (and paws!) crossed it won't be anything serious. She'll ask her vet if there are any stockists closer, otherwise she may get to Cranbourne over the weekend if you are not at a Dog Show. Thanks again, Jill
  8. Posting on behalf of a Dally breeder not on DOL (registered, all perfectly legit!) who urgently needs to buy Wombaroo in outer Eastern Melbourne suburbs, she's tried the one in Ferntree Gully which is listed as a stockist on the Wombaroo website, but they've not heard of it! If someone who has access to the Breeders Forum could cross post there that would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance everyone, Jill
  9. Thanks Dwynwen, obviously the weight is the critical factor! Mystery solved. Thanks again to all who responded. Above From http://www.rta.nsw.gov.au/registration/reg...afetycheck.html
  10. As the topic says, I am in New South Wales and need to get my dog trailer rego renewed for the first time. I am getting conflicting stories about the need for a pink slip ie, my mechanic says ALL trailers, box as well as dog, need a pink slip as the lights need to be checked, which makes sense. However another friend says they have never needed a pink slip for their box trailer. SO, info please!
  11. You might find those doors in the two door version a bit narrow for an adult Goldie. I have an OKS trolley from Martin, I know it's a bit more expensive, but I am VERY happy with it. Also only weighs 13.5kg, so easy to lift in and out of the car, fits a rather large Dally easily. Also have a couple of Vebo crates, yes they are very sturdy, but I have had a problem collapsing them. That could just be me though!
  12. I have been in touch directly with Tom re Motion to the ANKC conference re compulsory Neuter Classes, and unfortunately, the motion was NOT successful. Tom is now Chairman of DogsNSW BOD, so perhaps we might see NSW at least making the classes compulsory. But at the present time, no, not mandatory anywhere. All we can really do is continue to support those shows where the classes ARE offered, and maybe thank the Club running the show for including the classes. I was told today that the next Bulli show will have Neuter Classes.
  13. Jed, please hang in there - I am in Sydney with a full house of large dogs, so cannot help out with accomodation, but I CAN help with a donation if you could possibly find suitable long term boarding. Hope that may help. Please keep posting.
  14. I heard something about this but haven't seen anything in writing, do you have any more info please?
  15. Excellent post, and a bit OT, but LOVE the photo. Hugs to Zero! ETA: Meant my comment about the pic was a bit OT, not the post, lol...
  16. Thanks for spreading the word. Bumping to keep topic current also.

  18. Will be available for Spring Fair or earlier - see DogsNSW website for more details!
  19. Sas, The DogsNSW PR Committee Christmas Show will be having Neuter Classes; and I think you will find that Hills, Ladies KC and Ku-Ring-Gai at Castle Hill late November early December will also be offering them. Toy & General next Feb will be having them. I just checked the August Gazette, there are 3 shows at Hillsborough 14, 15 & 16 October which have them. - the ad is on page 42. Hope this helps! For what it is worth, some clubs are trying out the Neuter classes to see what sort of entry they get, so even if you are not able to go, a complimentary entry would help ensure the classes continue.
  20. As a follow on from previous thread I am very excited to advise that the DogsNSW PR Committee have agreed, following a request from me, to hold Classes 18 and 18a at the Christmas Show. :p :D I know this is a long way in advance, but it's a busy time of the year for most people, and if ever there was a good chance to pursuade someone you know with a desexed Main Register dog that showing would be a good thing, this is it. Anyone who has been to the Christmas Show (Date I think is 18th December, 2010) will know that it is lots of fun for adults and kids alike, with a visit from Santa on the Husky drawn sleigh with pressies for kids, prizes for best decorated gazebos and heaps more. I've offered to donate towards the cost of prizes/sashes, would be great if anyone else would care to do so as well. PM me for contact details if you feel so inclined.
  21. First Neuter Certificates in Australia were awarded today in Alice Springs!! And a future date for the show diaries for those in NSW, T & G will be having classes 18 and 18a at their Feb show 2011.
