  1. Thanks heaps Aziah, just found out that friends from Victoria are planning on going so investigating the possibilities of joining them for a day or so.
  2. I think it was mentioned that there was a web site for this, if so could someone maybe please post the link for me? Thanks.
  3. Did anyone else know about this? I don't mind doing it, just thankful someone mentioned something before people started entering their desexed dogs in shows! People wishing to be involved with getting Neuter Class Rolling. Bilbo Baggins (VIC) Bilbo Baggins Junior(VIC) Aziah (NSW) Capanash (VIC GoldenWei (NSW) Jilldog (NSW) LoTTy (TAS) leopuppy04 (VIC) Tollersowned (VIC) When I changed mine from entire to Neuter, I was given the option of either paying for a new certificate, or just having the back of the old one stamped, and from memory this didn't cost anything except the express "pay over the counter" thing as I am not very patient!! This was late 2008. (NSW) VCA stated you get a new certificate anyway. Certainly possible DogsNSW have changed their system by now maybe in preparation for the new title which by the way is of NOW as it's 1st July!!!!! I can find out if anyone is interested?
  4. This may well be one reason, but I was talking to someone who is very involved in running shows, and she said a big part of the reason why more Clubs don't offer these classes is the expense of buying another 8 trophies (7 Groups + In Show) and another 8 ribbons - she suggested that I look at getting some sort of sponsorship which might make the idea more attractive to show organisers. Having said that, I know of one specialty club where a member offered to donate all prizes, sashes and indeed all expenses associated with running Classes 18 and 18a instead of a Neuter Sweepstakes and was knocked back!! Even though the Club concerned had run 18 and 18a previously and combined them into S/S due to lack of entries.

  6. I have had two dogs entered in Neuter classes here in NSW - both times I took their registration certificate (main) and a vet certificate of desexing to the DogsNSW office and the certificates were returned to me stamped on the back. Hope this helps. Last time I did this was late 2008, so the system may have changed now.

  8. For anyone interested, the Open Day will be featured on Mornings with Kerrie-Anne I think tomorrow, Monday. Sorry, not sure what time.
  9. In case it hasn't been posted elsewhere (and apologies if it has), in conjunction with the Championship Dog Show on Saturday 12th June, 2010, there will be an "Open Day" showcasing many of the activities offered to dogs e.g. Agility, Dances with Dogs, Jack Russell Terrier Racing and much more. It's presented by DogsNSW, admission is free, and time is 9am to 5pm.
  10. Brush Farm training at Eastwood is obedience training rather than show training. There is show training at Castle Hill Showground at 7.30pm on Tuesday nights.
  11. Thanks heaps Firestone, have been waiting, waiting, waiting on these results, nobody answering mobiles 'cos they were actually in the ring VERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRY late!! My congrats to both also, both well deserved wins!
  12. Funny story about these portable dog potties. When they first came out I thought they had to be one of the best inventions ever (given that my dogs are all house dogs), but first time I went out and left the portable dog potty down, my naughty and quite inventive Dalmatian had tried to EAT THE GRASS!!! It was EVERYWHERE!!! Took longer to clean up than a decent wee or poo would have done. Still think them a great idea, possibly not if you have a Dally! Edit for spelling.
  13. http://www.aaf1.net/ These people are in Belmore, NSW, and make exactly to your specifications.
