  1. I should be there both days and will try to post results from group 6 if I go.. or I could just tell you now that Tibetan Mastiff gets best puppy in group I can dream can't I?
  2. HI Elbie is very cute and so teeny And yes I did have the most placid/relaxed dog in class.. which is frustrating because she's so relaxed she's hard to motivate into doing anything.. stoopid broken guard dog
  3. I left my papers at home.. can anyone tell me the total number of dogs entered on Sunday?
  4. Sunday = Best Puppy In Group and a second look for Best Puppy in Show... Go Indira!!!!!!! And another congrats to Elkie! I don't think I've ever seen someone so gobsmacked/happy before
  5. We are all of the opinion it is some kind of mental disease. It has been going on for at least 6 years (that we know of). The only motive seems to be a very strong hatred of dogs.. there is no one thing that seems to set off the attacks, your dogs can be large, small, barkers, non-barkers, inside dogs, outside dogs.. there was even bait left around the school oval at the end of the street which is an off-lead area.. kids could have picked it up. There is no 'video' evidence.. there are eye-witness accounts of trespassing, a history of many many many complaints against dog owners in the street, and witnesses to very unstable behaviour.
  6. I don't know if they got any footage of the person.. they were camped in the street for a day but said person won't even come to the door for the police.. just hurls abuse through the door.. so I doubt they would have any conversation taped. The poor people still living in the street emailed Today Tonight in desperation and never expected to be contacted.. they all live with the same fear I had before I moved.. you can't leave your dogs outside unless supervised.. you have to follow them around and make sure they don't pick up anything off the ground etc... it's hell.
  7. Police don't actually care.. RSPCA are limited in what they can do. the 'person' is still to this day trying to get the other dogs in the street. Today Tonight interviewed me because we were the only ones to actually lose dogs.. the others in the street survived. I don't really like those sorts of programs but I'm sick of nothing being done.
  8. Okay maybe not tomorrow but in the next few days it will be on.. they are waiting to hear back from someone.. I'm getting my dad to record it on DVD.
  9. They have done an article on the *@#&%@#$ that (we suspect) killed my babies last year and is still trying to do it to everyone else in the street that owns dogs.
  10. Money doesn't matter when you bring a saint bernard into your life... anyways.. it varies so perhaps have a look around and meet/talk to some breeders to get a better idea.
  11. It will probably be easier for you to relax/meet people/walk around if you don't bring your woofer.. only because there's lots of dogs and people everywhere.. unless you stay away from the entrances to the rings where people are milling about etc.. Perhaps come to your first show without and see what goes on and then make a judgement from there?
  12. Sunday and Monday for me unless it's pouring.. I don't see any point in taking a fluffy dog out in the pouring rain after the canberra royal
  13. Well I looked.. I found some skechers that seem nice.. don't have normal laces but little looped over elastic lace things on the top.. they are on sale and they have them in a browny colour and black.. can't decide which would be better..
  14. Hey guys I normally wear my sneakers when I show or work slip ons.. but I'm going to buy myself a pair a 'show shoes' today and was pondering what to get. I want comfort, stability while still being pretty.. Are laces better? or velcro or other? And are any colours better than others do you think?
  15. There are no words that will help.. but.. It will be okay.. and she is in a happy place with other loved doggies. Sorry for the loss and may it get easier for you and your parents
  16. She was eating a bone she didn't care what was going on behind her
  17. I wish we had of been able to stop laughing long enough to take a picture... dirty little mutts.. I swear you must have rubbed Lestats smoking jacket in dog pheromones or something
  18. Tibetan Mastiff colours http://www.tibetanmastiffinfo.com/articles...-Genetics.shtml The Do khyi (shepherd type TM like Indi) have a build similar to the pariah dog
  19. Go the Hilux, but make sure you have a canopy on the back.. I have a 4x4 Diesel Colorado and am now saving up to get a canopy as it's basically useless for the dogs without one. Toyota is more reliable than Holden.. I'd go a hilux over a crewman. Also the high driving position of the utes is awesome and the Hilux is even higher than mine
  20. I couldn't get fattys 'begging eyes' but I got her 'unimpressed eyes'
  21. Indi just finished her first season.. but Fatty has been 'going for it' every now and then since Indi arrived home.. And she used to hump Cujo.. my entire male saint.. and when we lost the saints she starting humping the desexed male cat I think she's just a frustrated hussy
