  1. Thank you. The big cats was my main reason for going....The tiger though wasnt playing the game the day i was there.....They are white lions :) The 2nd last shot the lion is actually stalking my son lol, He ran past the enclosure and boy that woke em up and got their attention. This is him chasin my son along the front of the enclosure Pacing up and down the cage follwing my son Thank you. I rapt with how the macaws came out, the sun was somewhat behind them and the cage wire to shoot through. The iguana i am suprised they came out as clear as theyy did, the glass veiwing panel was pretty grotty. Thank you. It took some effort to make the camera focus through the enclosure wire, the lions were on the far side of the enclosure, and we were about a metre from the wire itself. I wasnt sure how they would come out, but yeah very happy. The macaws would be a favorite, they are such hams lol Thank you. Camera is a Sony A33, using DT 4-5.6/55-200 SAM. Absolutely love my camera!
  2. I went to the DDZ on Wednesday...i actually quite enjoyed it. Being its a private owned zoo its no Melbourne type, but still it was great to be able to photograph other animal types. Thought i'd share some of the pics

  6. Thanx guys :) They nest in the trees out the back, we had a family of tawny's last year. Gorgeous bird!
  7. My son came in and said something is in the trees, aim camera and grab a shot or 2 into the pitch black. What it was *L* Poor bird would have been momentarily blinded by the flash i'm sure. But how cool is it!!
  8. Understandable *L* I tend to be a bit biased with GSD's too!
  9. Took my GSD Nika out to grab a few shots, thought i'd share a few of my favorites
  10. Thanx for the link, thats awesome!!

  12. Loved the day, i didnt realise the ODE was on, missed Saturday's dressage day Didnt get any of the cross country, not sure where the course was nor if there was anywhere there was shade, so i stayed with the showjumping. Here's a few of the shots i took, thought some may enjoy
  13. I spose the person may have something to do with it With my Sony though, the camera itself makes it extremely easy to get nice photos. Its ability to capture the colours and beauty of what your pointing at is awesome. I absolutely love it. I havent got to the stage of utilizing its full capacity, i'm still learning how to use it.
  14. No probs....Sony A33, 18-55mm F3.5-5.6 SAM lens
  15. Thanx Mish It does grab the colours beautifully, the more i use the camera the more i am impressed with it
  16. Thanxs The church pic with the pigeon is a favorite, i do love stone buildings. I dont have photoshop, too user unfriendly for me *L* I tend to leave the pics au natural, maybe a bit of a crop, but mostly as taken. I am looking at a HDR program though, some HDR pics are pretty awesome
  17. Took my camera out over the weekend, here a few of the results
  18. Sharing some of the pics i grabbed the other night. Feedback welcome
  19. I just bought a new halti for my GSD, i took her in and got her fitted as i dont think her old one fit correctly, and boy was i right. The newer haltis have some improvements i must say. The strap from the halti to the collar for 1 and the padded noseband is another. My girl is reactive, major excitement at other dogs, very high prey drive, so if anything runs she want to chase *L* I do not notice any jerking to her neck though from using a halti. I do very similar to the lady in the vid above, the halti tightens until she is sitting calmy then relaxed rewarding the desired behaviour. Walking has become a joy with the halti. She will walk in a check chain, but due to arm surgery i cant hold her if she goes to take off, checking constaly can be uncomfortable for me also. For me the halti has been a godsend
